Taken from the Official Nintendo Magazine.
"The Gamecube, A five-year-old machine, is outselling the Xbox 360 week-on-week. In the first three weeks of January, 23,000 Gamecubes were sold compared to just 17,000 Xbox 360s. Of course, thats nothing compared to the 210,000 DS units shifted in that period."

In Japan.

Units Sold:

June 6th-12th

DS - 32,765 / 972,202
PS2 - 27,741 / 987,120
PSP - 21,476 / 915,416
GBA SP - 8,522 / 338,180
GC - 2,558 / 114,961
GBA - 623 / 11,594
Xbox - 131 / 7,360

In Japan, Nintendo is King.

While the units total this year is still close you have to remember the DS has since April's take over of the handheld market in Japan had to win over a 100,000+ unit lead by PSP in 2005. Since then its outsold it and now is just on the starting path to outsell it 3:2 as it has been for 3 months now.

Also, I believe the Gameboy Advance SP was a great sucsess when it came out. It even outsold the Playsation 2. I'll try find the video where The Nintendo Dude says it.
