The clunky version of the DS will be a thing of the past with a new, redesigned DS called the DS Lite. The first thing to notice is the dual screens, which remain the same size despite the slimming down of the handheld body.
The images also confirm the pocket-sized dimensions - around 5 and a half inches long, 3 inches wide and a little over an inch thick - plus the new side-mounted power switch and stylus slot. And don't worry about the shoulder buttons, as they're both present and correct.
These photos weren't released by Nintendo but by the Federal Communications Commission as part of tests they were performing. A new info-burst from Nintendo can't be far off, though, with the Japanese release set for early March.
