I admitted i was gay to my Mum. She said she knew for ages. I dont know how she knew but she did. Then I told my boyfriend that I told my mum and he said that he would go and tell his mum. He told her later that night and she said that its fine :D I was so happy. I now dont have to lie to my mum what we are doing :D

If you think he will do this. Don't tell him just yet.
If it will cause him pain and it could risk your living situation and your well-being, you don't really want to risk it.
If you need to tell someone, tell someone you know who will be fine.

I just told her. I had been seeing this boy for quite a while. No-one knew. And i mean no-one!! Girls were asking me out but i wanted my boyfriend. We had actually been planning on telling our parents for ages. But theres only one way to find out if your parents accept it. And thats to tell them.

Jw, because I was wonder what age people usually come out to there parents.

I think 15 is a good age. Some older friends came out at 15. Their parents didnt mind as the parents saw them mature enough.
I know a guy who came out at 13 - his parents were fine about it.

I think thats TBS there... almost 90% of the 15 year olds I know are immature little muppets. >_>
I think you should 'come out' over 16... At least... But people are all different I suppose.

All depends on how mature you are. I just thought as i got older my mum would soon find out. I didnt want her to find out. I wanted to tell her.
Well it's not exactly illegal at any age to come out is it. If they wanna tell their parents at a certain age then they should rather than keep it in them.

Yeah, I guess. But sadly not every parent is in 100% acceptence of gay's. My friend told his dad and mum that he was bi-sexual and he thought that he was becoming gay, his dad hit him and threw him out the house, after his mum had a word with him, he's back in but they don't speak at all and whenever I see him he looks like he's well peed off and annoyed with something.
It's a shame that some people can't just accept sexuality

It's a good job I will not have to tell my Mum or Dad i'm gay.
He told me once you'd be out of this house like a shot, as soon as you woke up from the coma i'd put you in.

But my dads problem is that hes Homophobic so ive got a problem and im 13/14

Snoop
Well I advise, for your 'well-being' and if he's that Homophobic, don't tell him just yet...
Wait till you're older.
well - it's not 'following the rules' of sexuality is it? It's meant ot be boy and girl.
but with parents, they may be scared of not knowing how to treat them afterwards. So they use a defence. Not always the best one but they're just trying to come to terms with it.
My parents told me that if i said I was a lesbian, they'd be upset and shocked but they'd live with it. Mum's totally against gay relationships but she's not a homophobic.
Mum's totally against gay relationships but she's not a homophobic.
But that is what homophobic is... People against gays and their relationships...

You gotta come out sooner or later. And you don't want them to find out from someone else.

Heh my mom and dad aren't homophobes and my mom keeps telling me she wouldn't mind if me or my sister were gay - which shes kinda hinting for me to tell her i'm gay. But i'm not just ready.

If you are gay, And she's hinting at it. Then maybe you could tell her now. I know you said your not ready and it's prob's kinda embarrasing. I know what it's like. But it's gotta come out sometime, Why not when she's hinting? She could all ready know.
I came out last summer (I'm 14 next month).
Before i told my mum, the only people that knew were two of my friends. After then i think everyone just guessed. Now everyone in school knows. I really hate some of the chavs sometimes, but i haven't really been attacked or anything yet.. So i guess it's not too bad. I still haven't told my Dad - it might sound ridiculous but telling your Dad is 10 times harder than telling your Mum.
I guess some people may say it's early as a lot of people come out at an older age, but it felt like the right time to do it. I've more or less known my whole life, and i couldn't keep saying i liked girls anymore so i told some of my other friends and know i think there are over 20 that i've actually told.
Now i'll stop rambling on with my life story xD
