You wouldn't need Clothilde, a basic habbo character can be made just as easily with soft IK if you really wanted it to go that far animation-wise, otherwise it's a simple box modelling job and a hypernurb cage. :)

And here was i thinking he'd actually gone into his shed and built this stuff from real materials! I actually took inspiration from this thread and was gonna do a re-creation of the Library or something but now i know it's done with a program i'm a bit concerned, i mean what the hell am i gonna do with the 40 tons of wood i just had delivered?

Meanwhile, back in reality city...

The models so far look ok for the level of modelling you're at right now although i have to be brutal here and say that the carrot really doesn't cut it, i'm pretty sure you can do a lot better than that, rather than opting for the easy method of using primitives, try being a little more adventurous and use a loft nurbs or boxmodel method instead, it might mean more work but small challenges like these are ideal for trying out new techniques. :)

Trust me, once you figure out boxmodelling and get used to shifting points around and subdividing in order to get the desired shape, you'll never look back, it's not as difficult as it looks, tell ya what, i'll see what tuts i can dig up from my archives and i'll post them somewhere for you, the old Messie tutorial from the maxon site springs to mind but that's pretty indepth so i'll see if i've got an esier one as well that you can use to get started. :)

No not really. If the program your getting, is off something like Limewire, then your kind of stealing it. If however it was on the owners site, saying "Take me I'm free" then thats somewhat Ok.

Plus for most programs which need to be purchased, you need codes.

Cinema4D is not free anywhere apart from demos or much older versions that get given away on the cover cd's of digital art magazines, they're not going to sell it from their own site and then distribute it free on the p2p networks, basically if you download a program like C4D from p2p regardless of wether it has a serial or not, it's illegal, end of story. :)

If he could do the wings he could do the figuure just as easily and seeing as he's already said he hasn't mastered a habbo figure yet then it's unlikely he'll have worked out how to do a realistic looking wing with feathers etc, hell i don't think i could do that in less than 5 days and i've been doing this stuff a lot longer. This is a good way to learn some different techniques but there's no point in overloading the guy with challenges that'll take too long to complete, this is the reason why i've never offered to make peoples furni etc into 3D, all credit to him for taking it all on. :)
