Well, it's kind of like this..
Yes, I have wanted a dog since I was 3 or something like that, and then you finally get the puppy of your dreams, she's gorgeous and doesn't do anything to hurt you. But, you get her and.. it doesn't seem all that struggle.
Like, yeah shes cute and everything you ever wanted, but you liked it how it was before, just you, your family.. and your cat.
It feels weird and you want it to be normal.
I feel like it isn't fair on my cat, we've known her for ages and she doesn't dare come in the house even though the dog isn't bothered about her - as in, she wouldn't hurt her or anything, seeing as shes only 3-4 months.
I hate feeling like this because I have always wanted a puppy.
It's just really hard and everything..
Help me please, I am here crying and yeah.. I'm weird but it's kind of an emotional thing.
P.S we got her yesterday.
Please help and give me advice£>

Well I have found out that when you buy a pet it seems really cute and quiet, but 1 month later and it's running riot. It is just natural for your cat to be scared of your puppie, as you only had it yesterday your cat will not be used to it and will be cautious of your dog. Your cat should just get used to your dog aslong as your dog is completely harmless. :p

Well, All i can suggest is give it a few days. Then you'll probs be use to having the puppy around it'll just seem normal. And then maybe your cat will be use to having the dog around as well. Hope it all works out <3

Dont worry, this is quite natural I'm sure.
As you said, you've always wanted a puppy and now you've got one it'll all be a bit surreal. Just give it a month or 2, and get into the routines and ideas of it all, and your cat will notice you and your family are all interacting and responding with the dog well, and will eventually learn that the dog wont hurt it and will be cool again.
If I was you, I'd stick it out for now and see how it goes! ;]

wow. I could never do that!
A puppies for life, not just for Christmas! ;]
I guess this thread is a good one for all those who are wanting a puppy, as it shows it not all just cuteness and what not for the rest of their lives, as they do require a lot of walks and attention. If you don't think your up to it, then don't get it - it's not fair putting the puppy through it all then ending up having to give it away to another home!

Like most people have been saying give it abit longer see how things go and dont forget to make an extra fuss of your cat cos might it might get jealous of the puppy :) hope it goes well :)

I whined on for a rabbit for two years and then I finally got him. I've had him for 3 years now and I love him more then anything but its just not worth it having to clean out that stupid hutch.

Haha that just sucks. :P
I had a hamster
But I hate cleaning its cage
Because it has poop everywhere.
And it was hard to get my hamster out because
He'd always bite me when I try to grab him
It killed.

Hamsters and Rabbits are easy to look after there just in cages and play pens it's not as easy with a pooch
When i got my dog thats how i felt but now i love her and cant imagine life without her
