Take this test (http://psychcentral.com/quizzes/eat.htm) to see if your eating attitudes are at a rate where you either have a eating disorder, or at risk of starting one.

Bulimia is something I really feel quite strongly about, and I urge anyone who is suffering from it to seek help in someone they trust, because it is extremeley dangerous.

If your thinking..bulimia?
It's associated with self-induced vomiting or misuse of laxatives, diuretics, enemas, or other medications (purging); fasting; or excessive exercise.
Feeling disastisfied with their body, sufferers resort to extremeley unhealthy ways of weight loss.

If you want some help visit this website, but if you go to your GP, you can get treatment, and overcome your disorder, please don't be ashamed to get help.

If you take the eating attitude test, then it will be interesting to hear your results.

Hmm, it isn't accurate for people who are simply insecure, I agree, but the results could help someone to improve their eating habits.

I have had bulimia and it was pretty grim. I wore down a load of the enamel on my teeth because I frequently made myself vomit up my food after binge eating and I was terrified my breath would smell bad and people would notice, so I brushed them all the time, much more than you should.

I would recommend telling one trusted friend. I told two of mine: one of them thought the best course of action was to tell a teacher and the other got me to stop myself. The teacher in question made me go see the school councellor (sp?), who was rubbish. I would tell anybody thinking they may suffer from bulimia to tell a friend who won't tell ANYBODY else. If they're a good enough friend they can make you see sense on the strength of your friendship.

I am a recovered bulimic, I can't stress enough how much you shouldn't even try it once because its so addictive. My mouth was always covered in ulcers, my throat was always sore and it hurt a lot plus if it goes on for too long you could have a heart attack or rupture your stomach.
