I heard this in RE but I cut off the ending.

[It's not true...]

In Aberdeen there is a bridge that crosses a river, it only goes over the river when I train is coming and one night the track controller was waiting for the last train to come when he saw a dim light in the distance. He activated the bridge and it juttered across but the lock didn't work. He ran out his control box and across the bridge to the other side to pull the leaver manually to close the lock. He pulled it across and it locked fine. The whole train was depending on his strength. But then he heard a voice that made he blood run cold, ''Daddy, daddy where are you?'' It was his son, the train was approuching fast and he didn't have enough time to save his son and run back to the lock. His son was small and those little legs wouldn't carry him fast enough....

What would you do? Sacrafice the 100+ pessengers on the train for the kid or sacrafice you son........?

Vot in the poll and give your reasons if you want.

I know it may sound sick, but i would have to go to my son, as i would care for him soo much, and i would love him, and i would hate to see my kid die, i know it sounds sick, and u will be killing loads of other people, but with my son dying and seing him die, it would kill me

what kind of question is that? I don't know the people on the train, so i'd easily go for my son.

I would Save the Train.

Be about 100 peoples hero or just 1 persons hero?

I would go with the 100 people

I'd also attempt to save the 100 people and be a hero and get money for it! £££ ;)

Hard decision. I'd probably go for the train, although I'd attempt to save my son.

I'd save my kid, I mean more people would be killed on the train but i wouldn't know them & i wouldn't really care for them as much as i would care for my kid.

I would not know how to save the people, unless I've misread it, they're doomed. I would save my son.

The 100 people. Even though I wouldn't be able to forgive myself..

if you dont save ur kid you reck one family ( your family ) but if you dont save the train people you reck more than 100 familys and their familys ect.
so id save the train people even though i would care for my son but 100 peoples lives is more valuble than 1 persons life no matter whos it is.

Well then you're one sick ****** if you wouldn't even save your own kid.
Then again you'd probably have 500kids.

i'd save neither

I'd save my son. Blood is thicker than water. It would also be an instant reaction to save your son.

I would have to save the people on the train, but also attempt to save my son at the same time

Omg, how can you people save the train? If you save your kid you can at least blaim the rail for not working properly and you'll get over it, but the thought that you could have saved your kid would probably haunt you for the rest of your life, so I'd go for my kid for 100%.
So it's more a choice of:
- Seeing your kid die in your dreams for the rest of your life.
Or
- Have bad dreams of the train and the people screaming and dieing (probably drowning aswell).
I think you rather have the second one, as it is the easiest to get over and less destructing (mental wise).

I'd save the train and the son inside, with everyone else.

You're SO judgemental in ALL threads, the first bit of your comment wasn't needed. I agree with you on the second bit.

I err, what?

I wrote the 'first bit' because for me the decision is so painstakingly easy it isn't questionable.

This dude makes a point,

its your child, you care for it, its your responsibility. Evan if you save all the people, you will still sob over the loss of your son..

I know letting your son die would be cold-hearted but, you have to balance your desires with others. Like the other guy said, ruining one family or 100? Balance your needs and desires with others. The son will soon accept your apology in heaven where he'll understand why you made your move of saving a train full of people, instead of your own son. I hope I will never in my life have to make a decision this hard.

Just wondering, but at what point does it mention his son is even on the train track, or in danger at all, other than useing the words "save his son"

His kid could be in a house or on a phone for all the detail given in the story.

Also It mentions no problem with the locking mechinism, so why would him letting go of the leave unlock it, i mean did monkeys engine the track of what? if it locked fine, that would imply it aint gona unlock magicly eather...

thurther more, whats stoping him from simply flagging the train down "/

If the kid's gotten himself onto the tracks, surely it can't be difficult to just walk back off them again? Hold the lock shut and shout to your child.
