Please feel free to read that news report.
Thankyoup! :)

PS: I probably won't reply to this topic if all I get is un-necessary rants off people which is totally uncalled for after being treated like this by Sulake. ;)

Pretty good news. No doubt you will get removed from the fansite list now though. :(
hmmm..
I believe that it doesn't matter how many votes you get but the content of the site.. [not saying your site is rubbish or w.e]
also.. 200+ users may have clicked that link, but not have voted.. :I

Hey,
It was a Curl script that sent the users vote and logged their comment and made sure the vote was successful.
We calculated 200 successful votes.
I undertand people will find that confusing so just to clear that up :)
Also, Sulake's emails never commented on content and if you look at some of the current sites up for vote, I doubt content is an issue at all especially compared to our site which has quality content.
James
PS. I realy am not bothered if it is official or not as the site will remain popular without a badge or not, its just the principles behind the whole thing and I hope you can all understand that. :)

Maybe the other sites had more than 200?
Lol, exactly what I was thinking.
200 votes probably isn't that much compared to other sites, like Think Habbo. To be honest, I had never heard of your site until now.
I don't see what the fuss is about? Your site didn't make the vote, neither did 100's of others. If being official isn't why you're upset, you wouldn't be making it an issue.

Sorry to hear that dude, But from my personal view, Your website is one of the best unique sites on that Fansite list.

On HabboRemix.net, please add a rollover code.
Life isn't fair. Habbox were removed for a stupid reason and will never be allowed to be put back on simple because one of the head staff doesn't like it. You do see that your site may not have got 200 votes as i've heard of it either until now.
blaster.
22-03-2006, 07:01 PM
This code you talk about does this mean you know how many votes each site got? and can you tells whos in the top 10 out of the top 20?

Like you say.
The whole system is rigged and unfair, the 'pets' get it all and the people whos opinions, actions, volutary work, and generosity are not recognised, rewarded or highlighted.
Why bother?
I have to agree with antony, it's one of the most lovely sites i've ever seen. And the "stuff" habbo staff have done is poor and unacceptable (personly) I noticed it on the list, refreshed and it was removed.

Not being rude or arragont, I say this seriously. Read the topic, posts, and link before replying to any thread on this forum.
I clearly stated callie admitted it passed and said it was inelligble because I had previously banned accounts, plus Justine's close friend was told by Justine herself remix had been voted in the Top 20. Me saying I logged 200 successful votes out of the others people did outside our site was just a supporting figure.

Totally agree *points at the post of me saying I dont care if I was or was not official, its the principles behind it all I was bringing to everyones attention!*. ;)

If your site was discounted because you had banned accounts, why not have the common sense to step down and have the site run by someone else? Run it from the sidelines, instead of going toe to toe with Sulake and throwing a major email wobbler.

Ranger, if you had read my report you'd have noticed I emailed saying JackHB is an owner (Which he is, aswell as Beast) however they still refused to do anything (my original Habbo has no tracks to my other habbo anyway except for rumor and Justine despising me).
Again, read before you post!
Just to make it clear from my last email as I just re-read it and it seems a bit confusing.
The people named above the first line on that page are the owners IE including JackHB and Beast. My work is just making the site, where as they actually do all the day to day work and content. I am sure you can understand why I am aswell as all the staff are upset at your decision to remove the site from participating and hope this decision can be reversed as the reason provided by yourself is totally unfair on everyone involved in making HabboRemix what it is today.
Again, all the HabboRemix Staff and myself appreciate your prompt replies,
James
Is an email I sent, just to clarify my post. ;)
-------------
At the end of the day I don't care about it not being official or what not, all I am doing is bringing it all to the public's attention so they know what actually goes on behind the scene's at Sulake and how out of order they can be sometimes. ;)
James
I read your report before hand, and unfortunately, if having banned accounts previously is the reason why your site wasn't put on the list you'll just have to accept that.
I don't think your report does your website any favours, due to the fact there are many statements within that can cause rumors to start, and ones that make you seem bitter towards Sulake/Habbos decisions. You probably stand no chance of being accepted now as a result.

I did read it. Perhaps you should proof read it again.
I hardly run the site all the staff do and users who love this site wanted it official. Plus also many current and nominated fan site owners have also been perm banned and what not. Anyway..
I emailed back stating that I was not the only owner and its the community managers that do the day to day work, and Callie emailed back saying okay, if thats the case get the owner to email me. So I got JackHB, the community Manager, to email callie, to which I got the response that I was lying as a webpage stated I was the only owner (Even though I clearly stated the community managers are owners too in some respect!).
You are not the only owner, yet you own the site, and you say community managers are owners in some respects? Define some respects? Do they pay for the hosting? Do you pay for the hosting?

Fact, not rumor. I don't start rumors, I am always upfront. :)
I understand what your saying Kotu, but its the general public's decision, and there are alot of current and previous official fan site owners on there who I won't name but I am sure you know and others know who they are, who have been banned and up to alot of no good.
I just find that my experiances with Sulake was worth bringing to everyones attention, not to try and win a battle as sulake hold the cards at the end of the day. ;)

Community Managers own the site as they do the day today work and do the websites management. All I do is develop and host the site, that is why I have not got the title Community Manager/Owner just Owner because I do not deal with the general site activities. ;)
Hope that clears up any confusion.
James
It's fact, because you're upfront? That makes no sense.
Do you have any proof, besides "Oh my friend said..."?
I would imagine the reason for declining you based on ban history depends on how serious the bans were. A lot of current fansite owners are very behaved, and respectable members of the community.

The proof is that Callie said the site was made inelligible even though it did reach the top 20 ('Cause she didn't exactly need to investigate the site if it didn't reach the top 20!) and what was stated in the emails I summarized and placed in the report. ;)
Reminds me when Justine said to me that she didn't change my mission on habbo to "Fool. :)" She said "It was like that when I last checked it... I have much better things to do than to change missions".
And I said its fact, I'm a very upfront person and wouldn't go making stuff up.

If you host it, you are the owner. You pay for it to be on the interwebs, that doesn't mean the old Jack is the owner.
Also, I'm still not buying many of the things you have posted. If you had such emails, why not post a picture and blank the addresses?
And for security reasons emails can't be posted? Most of the staff have company addys that they use for community emails anyway.

Because callie sent me an email threatening "further action" if I publish the emails. I guess she doesn't want to expose herself.
James
PS.. Who pays the bill doesn't decide who owns a site. I could easily leave today and the other two would take control, they'll just have to take on my share or find someone else.
Ranger

In effect, she wouldn't be exposing herself.
EDIT: Yes it does count for ownership.
You said in the email that you are the owner. saying that the Community managers of your site are owners in 'certain respects' counts for nothing.
I could say that a cousin was a sister in a certain respect because she has family ties, but it doesn't change the facts. The same applies here.
