My Subjects I've Picked (Year 9 Options)

As all year 9's have to do now, i've had to pick my options.

I've picked:
ICT (Double course because it's in moe depth than the compulsory).
LEC (Which is collage - because i'm interested in Vehicle Motors which is all about vehicle parts etc.

I had to choose 4 and ICT and RS are compulsory or i would of choose them ''/ I did choose Drama , social studies , food tech and music

IT & RE are compulsory for us too but the IT course i'm doing is in great depth and takes up 2 options, same with the LEC one which also takes up 2 options.

EWe choose 5 options, but in blocks, so there;s not THAT much choice. We take a short ICT compulsory course, and an RE course bu we don't do an exam. We have to take a practical (music, art, drama, pe, or double performing arts btec), a language (French or German), a humanites (history, geography, RE, business studies or applied business double), and a tech (resistant materials, wood, food, sewing, electrics, ICT or child development). Plyus we get 1 free choice, plus at last 1 option has to be a short course. I'm taking Music, French, History, Critical thinking (my short course, and gets me an AS level) , and i'VE arranged not to do a tech and to do to do geography instead, because I'm taking critical thinking.

I had to change my choices when I gave the form in so I chose:
- ICT (double course, takes up 2 options)
- Electronical Products
- G.C.S.E. P.E.

The Courses I Did Do, were - GNVQ, Food Tech, History, Business Studies along with the Compulsery Subjects - except you can ditch short course RE - I never new

Anyway - I'm now Comming to the end of the above courses and my college options are my biggy

We don't have to do RE except for 2 terms of it in the 2 years, and we don't take a GCSE in it. Same with ICT

options are so sad. ive just chosen mine and we're all like .. WE'RE ONLY 14!! we dont know what we want to do! i chose french, art, pe, geog, and double science .. i really wanted to do drama aswell but there arent enough option spaces:@ they should have at least 5 ..

EDIT- re is a waste of time .. we all know how to respect each others beliefs, we just dont need to be taught about it

We get 5. Becasuse we don't do ICT or RE as full subjects. I thik we should be allowed to ditchsome sciences as well. Because I'd rather quit biology and just to physics and chemistry than carry on with all 3. We have to do double science, maths, english lit., english langauge, and 5 options, but only from a choice of 3 or 4 per option block, we have 4, and loads for the techs, except I didn't want to do a tech,so I got permission to have 2 free subjects, as I was takinbg critical thinking, which didnt fit into any block as it's an AS level one so they only open itto a few people.

i agree with the face that peole are only 14 and it can kind of determine what job you get because certain subjects at GCSE require certian ones at A Level if that makes any sense.

I agree, i mean i'm not too certain on the job i want. I'm only in yr 8 :S lol. But anyway as i'm at a grammar skl we do ks3 sats a yr early. nd yr9 is like a fun yr, but recently we had a letter bout nxt year. nxt year evry1 starts a gcse technology, only 1 tho. i mean i' m gonna do graphics, but it woz hard cuz i wanted to electronics too. then we finish our technology gcse in yr 10. also in yr 9 we complete a short course gcse in ict. we can also choose like a fun pathway for next year, i'm choosing art, cauz i like art. but 4 gcse we have 8 compulsory; maths, 2 english, 3 science, tech (which we do a yr early), and a modern language (not sure whether i wna do french or german :S). then after those 8 we can choose 3 more. i think i'm going to choose history, latin and art, i'm not sure tho. I mean i don't have much idea on the job i want :S

Well habbo is kinda aimed towards 11-16 year olds and habbox is kinda the main forum for those using habbo i think..lol
