Right I'm looking to buy a new MP3//iPod//Jukebox player and have no idea which one to get. There are so many! Could you please recommend me any{need to be more than 4gigs though as I have a huge collection of music} with the pros and cons of them and a good link to buy them from{In the UK}. +Rep given for all to those that are helpful! Thank-you very much.

Note I will not give rep to those that just give a link to one and state it,I need the advantages and disadvantages of it please =]

I have a 3gb One, Suits Me... I have alot of music but not over 4gb

You Can ether go for name brands like Ipod or zenpod, or you can look at own brands

if you go to ebuyer and look at there stock they havn't quite a large mix of different prices.. ranging from cheap 256mb to over 200gb Video screen,

If you Find a Couple And Tell me there names i'll go throw the pros and cons with you otherwise its quite hard

for example Ipods break easily/ scratch easily .. just stop working over a yr in some cases while zen pods have faulty headphone jacks and hardware

Easily ipod they just outbeat the best no disadvantages in my eye. There was with the mini (Battery just kept getting lower and lower) just get a nano or video one :D.

Awesome. People always poke fun at Ipods but I have to admit this one is amazing.
Pros
- The video quality on it will blow you away, you wouldn't expect it to be that good until you first see one.
- Colour screen makes it look more professinonal

I know you can get other colour screen ones I never said you couldn't :s. Actully the sony purple one skips and jumps. The ipod does break easily if your silly enough to drop it :)

They have discontuneud the mine because the nano is better and the normal is unpractacle because people can just buy the video.

lol :P they're really really really good though... a few of my friends have them. they even have screensavers that you can put on the screen part :P only 2 thoughtheres one with cherries, then one with a sun and clouds (when its day) and then theres a moon and clouds (when its night) lol, they automatically change too.

I've had sabsolutely no problems with my Ipod shuffle or nano :s The nano is great and the shuffle is over 6 months old and working fine.

I don't know about nanos breaking easily but i've dropped mine numerous times, stood on it once or twice, thrown it across the room in my jean pockets by mistake and fell on it once or twice skating and it works as well as it did when I first got it.

I don't see why they have such a bad rep just because of the Mini battery fiasco.

I had an ipod-mini which I had no problems at all with then went for the upgrade to 30GB video ipod which currently is working fine and i'm totally in love with. <333.

Btw Amazon is a safe site, I got mine from there.

I'm rather tempted to go with iPod atm cos 30gigs+video is alot but then again apparently the battery doesnt last long especially during videos. I've heard it scratches easily aswell.

Yeh the battery does go down quite a lot when watching a video and it does scratch easily unless you get a case. It's worth it though the videos look so good and don't skip or anything. Itunes is easy to use and albums are really cheap on there, they cost only £8 where as in shops there like £12-14.

Out of the two links, get the Ipod. Mainly because it's 30gb.
But I havn't got either, people do say the Ipod scratches really easily. Meaning you need to take more care of it.

Cases can be quite cheap. You can also use a padded sock. I don't know the battery life.

Far better than the previous ones. I THINK it's aorund 14-15 hours of music without video. With the video you can store around 75-100 hours worth of video with a 2-3 hour playback.

must get a Sony..........better quality sound than any other type of player.

I think www.archos.com have a good variety of mp3/mp4 players with fab features. I think they were one of the earliest companies to enter the mp4 market and are praised in gadget magazines.

Ipods remove people's uniqueness in my eyes. If everyone has one, they're not individual to themselves..sure the colours separate, but it's still yet another person with yet another ipod.
