Need PHP help please

Hey,

If any good PHP coder out there will help me, I would be soo grateful, or if you could even give me a link to where I maybe download one.

Basically, on my sites forum we have submissions catergories, and when the submission is accepted *e.g. new rare*, the site admins (me and my mate) have to manually do it through ftp etc..

Now i want a script if possible that instead of admins doing it, some staff members can, when you log into it, it says Welcome (username), please make a selection, and depending on their level is what they can see.

For example, lets go to Rares, the user clicks on Rares DB, then Add rare, it comes up with fields:
Rare name
Rare Picture
Rare Description
Rare Price in Cat
Rare Value
Submitted by

And when they click submit it makes a lil page for it, so the outcome would be site.com/rares.php?view=0001 and that would be the ID number for it, any ideas?

Seeing i cant edit my post, is it possible to have user things in it, say rare valuers can only access the field Rare Value, and Rare submitter can access the whole thing, and then theres an admin rank which can set up users etc.

you could use an admin panel i am not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for but i use it on my site and you can add different users permissions to be places try www.e107.org they proberly have the best panel. it is easy to make your site with to.

Thanks for your help but thats not what I am looking for, its basically a lil script, which editors can add to it, e.g. a rare, and wen submitted it sends it to a page with an id to it e.g. Rareview.php?id=001 etc., 001 being the id

Sorry for the double posts, really needed it, ye that and also a bit where we can add rares without having to login to ftp etc., different groups can access different parts etc. rare valuers can only edit the rare value field

yeah its possible and easy.

for the rare.php?id=0001

where it selects 0001 from a db?

just use

("select $_GET['rare'] from table");

or something.. CRAP. i havent used php in months. i need to re-learn it ;D
