When giving criticism where do you usually start and what aspects of somebodys work do you notice most?

A post made by .Code in the graphics section made me think about this..

This doesn't just have to involve graphics, like judging someones dress sense or whatever..

I normally tell them the main problem, then give an idea on how to solve it.

I usually mention the good points, mention the bad points, explain the bad points, and give improvements.
