When selling on Ebay, a friend of mine got a listing removed while trying to sell items.
He and a few other sellers were taken off, actually, though he'd copied a disclaimer from another Ebayer, who HADN'T been taken off.
What is YOUR experience with selling Habbo items on Ebay - and just what loopholes apply when selling an item, so that Sulake cannot legally take items off the listings?
All the furni is property of sulake. So not many loopholes..

Spose. But still, people sell, so there must be some loopholes.
btw Jed - about the Competitions Trial. Does it begin today?
Lol the main loophole is sell something diffrent but add a 'gift' of habbo furni :P
So when we spend money on credits what the hell are we buying if all the furni belongs to Sulake. Its stupid because when you dont want to play habbo any more and you have a bunch of furni wth are you supose to do with it when you spent like $400 on it. Kinda stupid i think
They will remove it anyways :) No disclaimer will stop them

Cant you say that the person is just paying for your time to go on the computer and drop furni off in their room?

I don't get how that works.
You purchase something from Sulake, meaning it's yours, right? You're not really selling anything that belongs to Sulake. You are only selling the items to another Habbo player, not other companies, so the item still stays within the Sulake corporation.

Apparently in the Terms and Conditions they say 'it was ALWAYS theirs' but whats the difference between you passing on furniture to someone else?
Because that person hasn't paid them, and that's whats Sulake is all about!

sulake offered a contract with ebay and ebay turned it down, the contract was to stop habbo products getting sold on ebay fall stop but as they turned it down sulake cant really do anything
I don't get how that works.

Thats what i was trying to say. If you purchase credits or furni then its yours and you should have the rite to do what ever the hell you want

Not how it works. Everything you buy is always property of Sulake Ltd.
Lol no disclaimer will help you
Either way you are making "money" from Sulake and there website, once reproted Ebay will remove it from there listings.

Interesting.
So, basically, you're buying the rights to use to items on Habbo until you get hacked, the items are stolen, or they malfunction and disappear. There is no real ownership to those items and the fact that you have you purchase them is obsolete because it doesn't matter- Sulake owns them as soon as they come out of the catalogue.
Just wondering- Is this even legal?
Personally, I've never spent money on Habbo, but thousands of other people have.

Most people do the trick of selling a joke and then adding the free gift of a Habbo account.

It's liike renting a video. I don't think it should be like that - but according to Sulake, it is.
It's also very legal.
Upe, I will be looking out for you on the forum and giving you +rep till the end of your life. That point Upe said everyone - I couldn't have said it better myself - and it's true.

I wouldn't sell Habbo items on eBay. I don't play Habbo, and I don't want my much-used eBay account to get banned =)

It's ridiculous really, my friend bought furni from ebay and it came, he was'nt scammed, he got a really good deal too, 15 good rares for £8.50.
Habbo should warn people when they buy furni that they're not actually buying anything, since they don't know this they don't know that they won't be able to sell it on and get their money back.
My other friend has tried selling on ebay, he's no scammer, but he always gets taken down after a few days, he dosen't even play habbo anymore, it just seems a bit unfair.
What we do outside of habbo is our business not sulakes, maybe if they didnt spend so much money on paying staff to chase after ebayers then they would be able to afford to let habbos sell on.
Also, on ebay, it may be the only chance for some habbos to ever own a super rare.

Yeah I've seen the joke one, and also there's a few where you buy the time spent to drop furni in your room. Basically as long as you state that they aren't paying for the furniture and that all Habbo furniture belongs to Sulake, you can't get done for it. This does however mean that they could drop a duck and it would still complete their side of the deal.
The only reason Sulake takes down the auctions is because there not making any money on the deal only ebay for the fee's and you for your furniture so sulake comes up with some BS on how it always belongs to them and you can never own it just so they wont lose money. You ask me you purcashed it you have a right to sell it. its not like there gonna take the furni and use it some where else like on cokemusic.com. they always have to use it on habbohotel. So its not like there "losing furni" because its being sold and used on another website its cause they want people to buy credits or furni at a jacked up price from there site.
Theres my 2 freaken cents

I don't see why anyone should get angry about it, Sulake are a company, of course they want to get money. If you owned Sulake you'd care more that you get as much mony as possible than you would about a tiny percentage of people being unhappy about having to do things legally.
I just think its stupid when after you pay for something its not really yours when you think you own it

Just to clear something up about the Sulake ownership...
When you buy Sulake credits, you are paying for the right to temporarily rent and/or otherwise hold temporarily their furniture. Basically you never have, don't, and never will own any piece of furniture. You can pay a flat fee to "rent" it but Sulake can withdraw your "renter's rights" at any given time. Basically, if they wanted to, Sulake could randomly come to your Habbo, take your furni, and even ban you if they wanted to.
It may not be fair, but that's life. :(

That's what I said. But as you paid for the renting, it never had a due date, so taking it from you before then, or whatever, it completely unfair, whatever junk they put in the Terms and Conditions.
I remember when Sulake actually cared about the clients that got them where they are today, and I can tell you - those days are long gone.
