I worked at a shelter last year and I had to euthanize a lot of animals - and that was REALLY hard! They were so cute :(

Though the job itself wouldn't be bad (since I dont intend to be an animal surgeon, I just want to have my own practice someday), its getting through the schooling that is really rough, especially in the US. My worry right now is that I won't even get accepted into vet school once i'm done with Uni since there's only about 30 in the entire US and its REALLY competitive (only 50-60 kids get accepted a year for most of them, and thats if you live in the same state as the school.. if you're out of state they accept 10-15 candidates).

I'm going into the Navy at 19/20, in the Information+Technology, Engineering or Intelligence department, don't fancy jumping onto boats and being shot just to create maps and comunnicate in the safety of a chair, but on a ship not in a onshore base or HQ.

The reason i wanna go in at 19/20 and not the usual and minimum age of 17 is because i don't wanna miss out on the fun of leaving school and being free for a few years, maybe working a rubbish job to pass time by, then go in the navy for about 5years, planned, as i don't want to miss out on being in England for too much (I don't think i could cope around 10-15years missing everyone and being out at sea). But if i like it maybe longer, or when i've had enough of sea life transfer to a Base or HQ and be a technician there.

She is going to get me some work experience at a hotel next summer, and for Saturday's we are looking for work experience at a gallery or something! :D
