I'm not religious at all, but I thought this was interesting.

Did anyone ever notice the license plates on the cars in 'Matrix Reloaded'? All of them seem to be biblical symbols! o_O

The Twins' truck on the freeway: DE2852. Deuteronomy 28:52 - "They shall besiege you in all your towns, until your high and fortified walls, in which you trusted, come down throughout all your land. And they shall besiege you in all your towns throughout all your land, which the LORD your God has given you."

Trinity and Morephus' Cadillac on the freeway: DA203. Daniel 2:03 - "I have had a dream that troubles me and I want to know what it means."

Agent Smith's Audi at the beginning: IS5416. Isaiah 54:16 - "Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy."

Nice find ;o

These were probably selected to tie in with the characters ;)

Yes, I agree on that part, but the fact that it is almost a clear interpretation of the characters makes me wonder if the plot for the movie was derived from the Bible.

Yes that is somewhat extremely interesting. Or perhaps before they had names for them they had a look in the bible? But the descriptions are almost exact.

I'm thinking that the bible was a strong influence in the movie, even though it may be very subtle. I thought the whole matrix trilogy was extremely interesting and puzling at times, although after watching the whole thing 4 times I fully understood it.

tidbit #2:
One of the Wazowski (sp?) brothers is getting a s ex change. o__o

Also; Cain and Abel, those two twins from the Matrix also are in the Bible.
Or was this said...?

It's been noted since the first film that it has a strong relationship with the Bible (such as Zion being the last city of man etc) and Neo = Jesus, Cypher = Judas. It started turning more philosophical in the 2nd and 3rd though

The Trilogy is really quite heavily influenced by religion (Christianity at least anyway). The whole idea of a saviour coming up from nowhere, the betrayal, death and resurrection of the saviour.. it's the storyline as well as the character/place names that tie in with Christianity.
