If you sleep with tv on, try not to as it might keep you awake if your intrested in the program.

Lavenders calming so try spraying your pillow with lavender spray.

Have a warm drink before you go to sleep like walm milk or hot chocolate.

This could be because you don't do things in the day that make you tired at night like exercise maybe and things that make you tired. Also try not to rest through the day so you save it for nightime. :)

Try watching some TV when you are in bed or reading a book. Try and clear your head before you go to sleep as if you have lots of things going through your head like "damn i need to do my coursework" your not going to sleep lol.
I was given a booklet with some excersies to do when your in bed if you can't sleep and need to relax (Not rude things before someone makes a comment!), so maybe google for some of them as they are quite good. Try doing some excersie like going for a run to tire yourself out.

If your old enough to drink alchol then get some and that will make you sleep :P

I find that putting the radio on (no visuals) and tuning it to radio 5 (late night live) or radio 4 (world service) provides enough distraction for me to fall asleep but whilst allowing me to fall asleep. I go to sleep with the radio on a lot of the time!

Make sure you shut off your computer at LEAST an hour before you have to go to bed, the constant flickering screen is enough to keep anybody wired and with thoughts whizzing through their minds.

Lavender is good, so is avoiding caffeine and sugar after 6pm in the evening to ensure you are able to turn off your mind at a decent time. :)

Getting up early in the morning is also crucial for ensuring you get to sleep at night at a reasonable hour. I find if I get up after 11am, I won't be asleep before 3am that night.

Hope these help, I have more suggestions up my sleeve if you need them. :)

I have a face mask(No an eye path that covers both eyes) It blocks out all light and helps me sleep.

I listen to the radio. A lot of boring songs so I go to sleep lol. Or you can do some moderate exercise and then bubble bath or shower? Warm ones. It helps with circulating the blood and it's easy to fall asleep in the bed afterwards :]

NEVER eat about an hour before your going to bed a tleast. When your tired your body finds it tough to digest and it's hard to get to sleep on a full stomach. Try to wear yourself out slightly during the day with exercise or something to burn up energy. Caffiene never helps but something warm, non sweet like warm milk HELPS ALOT to relax yourself. I always find, a warm blanket thing that warms your bed before you go in it helps me get to sleep. try to clear your mind before you go to bed, if times get tough see your doctor for sleeping pills or any remedies he can recommend.

I find that on Sundays, theres a very intresting program on that makes me fall asleep. Radio one, Sundays, 9-11. The Sunday Surgery with Doctor Mark and Letitia. I listen to it on my phone so my mum doesn't hear. It is also quite intresting... yes.... hmmm...
