Auto Name Change

I made and used this hack on an old vBulletin forum I used to run, I was thinking that you could install it on here.

All you have to do is;

Enter Password:
Re-Enter Password:

Type New Name:
Confirm New Name:

And wahlah! Your name is changed.

This could be only available to V.I.P Members and you can also set a time limit. As we're only aloud 1 name change per subscription, you can set it 31 days.

Its a bad idea, cause some of the names people can change it to. Loads of people would be immature with it. Plus, I think its best that an admin gets to see if its acceptable first.

And an Addon to this, Forum Management do NOT like installing modifications.

Also you're only allowed one name change per a vip subscription, so this will just define the object and then it'll get abused by fools changing names that may insult / hurt others.

Only way I can see how this would work is if the name you entered was sent to a script and all the admins had to do was click 'Accept' 'Decline'. Then the script could send an automated PM to the user saying if it's been accepted or not and if it hasn't, then it will give the reasons why or something.

Otherwise, no. We have too many immature members who would abuse it.

But it would be just as quick to do it the way thats in use at the minute. ;)
