Despite the fact that they're insanely mainstream and a bunch of 13 year olds plaster pictures of them all over their walls cause they heard a song on the radio, The Killers amaze me, particuarly the albums Sawdust and Sam's Town. Nothing lifts my mood like sitting back and listening to The Killers. I don't know if they're my favorite ever, but I can't think of many bands that I enjoy as much as these guys.

It's amazing how looking through this thread, people do seem to change their minds quickly on their favourite artist/band ever.

The Fratellis are still my lads, but I will also expand on my answer to say that I think Dave Grohl and Billie Joe Armstrong will go down in history as great musicians.

Serj Tankian and System of a Down are also fantastic (just listened to their stuff again recently and it is great).
