Once you have a domain how do you put your site on it?

How would you controll the hyperlinks and pictures?

How would you edit text or colloms?

If you buy linux hosting you would get a control panel called cpanel.
which can be found at cpanel.net

You would need hosting
For exmaple hostgator or lchosting.com

Once u bought your domain from a domain seller you set the dns to the namservers given to you when u sign up to your hosting
then you go into cpanel and park the domain usign the park domain tool
or get the owner of the hosting company to change the name of you acount to your domain.

to edit text you would have to edit the index file or page.

Ummm. New to it then eh?

www.w3schools.com Great place to learn some great stuff.

The Domain is controlled by your server DNS, whatever your server DNS is, you must set your domain to lead to it.

Hyperlinks, well once you have your domain setup, or you can do it before but, better to do it after.. you would use this example of code.

Welcome to MySite.com, click <a href="http://www.mysite.com/page.html" target="_blank">here</a> to contact me!

And to edit text, most people have cPanel, you would create a page, click edit, then insert text to whichever coloumn you wish.

It is hard to understand, I know. Check out some tutorials.

Here (http://www.w3schools.com/html) and Here (http://www2.rad.com/networks/1998/dns/main.html).

Good luck =]

1. Learn html

Html - The web language used to create web pages

2. Buy webhosting

Web hosting- Space to store your files on the net

3 Buy a Domain

Domain - A name for your 'hosting space'

Ok,
1. Find a good, reliable hosting site.
2. Think of what type of site you are planning on making.
3. Start to mess around with some graphics and templates, see how it works out, keep trying until you get a decent layout relative to the site you are creating.

I suggest you download a 30 day trial of Dreamweaver (http://www.macromedia.com/software/dreamweaver/) if you are new to HTML, preferably, check out the W3Schools (http://w3schools.com) site I mentioned in my previous posts and learn HTML manually, you will get more out of it.

For graphics, well Paint can do the job, but I recommend Adobe Photoshop (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/main.html), it is hard to navigate around it, but you will learn eventually.

Mess around with some code also, experiment. You will find that practise really does make perfect =]

Ok, so once you think you are ready to begin your site, you have a relative template and a idea of the structure for the site you can begin coding. I use Macromedia Fireworks (http://www.macromedia.com/software/fireworks/) to slice, but there are different options.

You can find a tutorial which will explain how to slice in Fireworks, here. (http://habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=24021)

Remember, if you find any of this software too expensive, or do not have the money for them, all the software I have listed has a 30 day trial you can download.

So, once you have sliced your layout, you will want to code it. The best way to code is with expandable tables and valid XHTML. Tutorials on this can be found here. (http://tutorials.alsacreations.com/) The site looks promising, let's hope it is.

Now, when you have a website, you may want to develop it more with PHP and MySQL, but I strongly suggest not until you know a lot of HTML and until you have a ready built website. For information MySQL click here (http://w3schools.com/sql) and for information on PHP click here (http://w3schools.com/php).

Remember building a website/learning HTML is hard, but if you follow the right paths you will get there in the end.
