Hiya All,

I have recently discovered that the well known "Dubble" chocolate bar (which supports fairtrade) are running a campaign to persuade Habbo Hotel to "stock" Fairtrade chocolate in their virtual cafes and restaurants. Such as the Ice Cafe.

Check the link below for more info on the "Dubble" website:

http://www.dubble.co.uk/stockthechoc/action_dearhabbo.shtml

Please leave comments on what you think about this "campaign" below.

Good news ;)

Although I am not sure how Habbo are going to do it, they will have to make little purple/blue bars for Habbos to hold before they do anything. Unless they hold carrots called "Dubble."

I'm not getting "technical". Sorry anyway. Yes it would take only about 10 mins to create an image of a chocolate bar.

Excellent find, the people should know that by making bots serve products by real name brands (such as Ribena) it's promoting, and promoting means you have to pay Habbo.

The site coculd be sued, it's hosting Habbo image's without Habbo's permission and there is no disclaimer.

I seriously hope this is a joke, because shouting STOCK THE CHOC won't do anything.
And i've never heard of 'Dubble' before.

I think their main aim is to get unaware teenagers to start buying fairtrade products such as the Dubble chocolate bar.

If you read the paragraphs on the website. It talks about trying to get people aware of Fairtrade and i quote "encourage young people to buy real Fairtrade products bringing real benefits to cocoa farmers."

Also, if some of you are wondering what Fairtrade is, check out their website http://www.fairtrade.org.uk/about_what_is_fairtrade.htm

I suppose it doesn't hurt for Habbo to get behind Fairtrade. It's a positive and influencial cause - they could probably pass the message onto the 'Hotel Guests' very well.

It takes what? A few minutes to name a drink/carrot/hamburger "dubble"; they have the red cups in public room; which is kind of purple.

Pretty decent if Habbo does this. I bet alot of kids that use Habbo haven't a clue about what goes on to make some of their clothes and trainers, fair trade awareness is needed definitely.

HAHA, thats hilarious. "Persuade habbo to go fair trade" never knew habbo's items were not fair trade. :eusa_thin dubble are a company also looking for profits, by doing this they are just hoping for free advertisement! hmmm, doesn't sound fair on otehr company's who pay to advertise!

Yes, it was called 'Mountain Dew', lol.

Seems a little silly at first, but actually it all fits together quite nicely. Although I doubt shouting 'Stock the Choc' would change much.
But hey, if some random Habbo Staff member is reading this, you never know.

And it's all for a good cause, which makes it even better.

AND AND it gives Callie a reason to give up Jaffa cakes. She could eat Dubble bars instead. I never liked them myself, but to each his own.

They sell it around Red Nose Day from what I remember but never knew it was sold all year round...

And yes it would take 10 minutes, but included in the time is coding and stuff.

I personally think they may not make it, they are just being pushy and deserve a slap for their pushy efforts...

It will be extremely amusing watching the protest.

Although I highly agree with the idea of Habbo encouraging fair trade!

I feel sorry for Callie with all the emails she will be getting about this. As much as i am all for fairtrade and i eat fairtrade chocolate and drink fairtrade coffee etc i do find it a bit childish that Dubble haven;t spoken to Sulake about this, they have just started trying to get Habbo's to protest.

Proffesionalism pls.
