Don't you just HATE it when people get a song name wrong. If you don't get what I mean, then here is an example.

"I'm listening to Green Day - Time Of Your Life"

NO YOU'RE NOT. YOU'RE LISTENING TO GOOD RIDDANCE.

Sorry it just annoys me =] Rant over.

Haha, I just said that in the What are you listening to topic. However there are more and more songs lately that have names that have nothing to do with the song. Like PATD, nothing against the band, but every song is "Im making this title wicked long so that it sounds like it has deep meaning, but it really doesnt and Im just trying to make you think of why I named it this".

But usually, it annoys me too.

Yeah that is quite annoying. I have the album, and these are a select few:

The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage
London Beckoned Songs About Money Written By Machines
Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off
There's A Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Realized It Yet

Omg yeah! I wrote a song and I think it was called something like
"This Song Sounds Emo So The Title Is 7 ft Long To Enhance Its Emoness"
Yeah I really did, it went off the side of the page :S

Buut, I got the song on my itunes and it says

'Good Riddance (Time of your life)' So it's still kinda the name for it.

They do that when the song title is not said in the song itself. They put the most memorable line in parenthesis, usually with songs that are popular or singles. Like the song by Chevelle, "Vitamin R" (Called that because its about his friend who started become addicted to ridilin), but they never say it in the song. So they put in parenthesis "Leading Us Along" because its in the chorus.

Look at the parenthesis I used above. It isnt really apart of the sentence, more of just side notes about the song.

Some songs I have have the words in brackets as they're mentioned in the song as well as the main song name, such as Pretty Girl (The Way) by Sugarcult and I Caught Fire (In Your Eyes) by The Used
