I put down my hat for him. He pursude his dream as a rapper and accomplished it. Even though he had rough times, he hung on and pursude his dream. Listen to his song " Hallie's Song " by him, oh God, he's actually not rapping. Well, most of it he doesn't rap. -gets emotional- He's had a hard life, but now it's all good besides his marriage. <3 He's my idol,I don't plan on being a rapper but I do plan on persuading my dream even though it's hard. What are your thoughts on Eminem pursuing his dream(s)? I know, some of his song include foul language but some are very emotional and good such as " Toy Soldier, When I'm Gone " and such. He's a real soldier, God bless him. <3

Most of his rap songs are to do with his real life.
(It's pursuing, not persuading.)

Thank you Wootzeh. But the fact that Eminem was white .. people dispised him, I think. No offense of being racist. I thought Eminem should get some credit for him pursuding his dream of all that hard work. Other rappers worked fairly hard.

He's not the only one that had to put a lot thru just to be famous and pursuing his dreams you know..also he's scary. Listen to his song title Kim I think. Let me copy the lyrics.

Yesterday I changed your diaper, wiped you and powdered you.
How did you get so big, can't believe it, now your two
Baby your so precious, daddy's so proud of you
SIT DOWN, *****, IF YOU MOVE AGAIN I'LL BEAT THE sh*t OUT OF YOU..

Kim: OK!!
Eminem: (Kim screaming) Don't make me wake this baby, she don't need to see
what I’m about to do
Quit crying *****, why do you always make me shout at you
How could you?...just leave me and love him out the blue
Kim: (crying)
Eminem: Oh, what's a matter Kim....am I too loud for you?? (Kim screaming)
Too bad *****, your gonna finally hear me out this time
At first, I’m like all right, you wanna throw me out, that's fine.
But not for him to take my place, are you out you're mind?
This couch, this tv, this whole house is mine.
How could you let him sleep in our bed?
Look it Kim, Look at your husband now,(kim: NOOO) I said look at him!!!
He ain't so hot now is he? Little punk.
Kim: Why are you doing this?
Eminem: Shut the f*ck up!!!
Kim: You're drunk, You're never going to get away at this..
Eminem: You think I give a f*ck!
Come on..we're going’ for a ride *****,(Kim: NOOOO) sit up front.
Kim: why can't we just leave Haley alone....what if she wakes up?
Eminem: We'll be right back......Well I will, you'll be in the trunk.

Chorus 2x
SO LONG
***** YOU DID ME SO WRONG
I DON'T WANNA GO ON
LIVIN' IN THIS WORLD WITHOUT YOU

sorry for swearing, is he still your idol? he can't express his views without swearing like most of rappers. Sad.

I know .. -.O Can't we just base this on Eminem? God. I know other rappers had to work hard to get into their positions now too. -.- I said he was my idol how he pursude his dreams. Not other rappers. I didn't say he doesn't use swear words in all his songs. -.- I like some of his songs that don't. >.>

Well do you find normal what he wrote to Kim? well wrote. I mean in the song..it's kind of scary since he got a kid with her. He doesn't respect women? he says he'll beat her up wth.

I don't give a crap about his relationship. I only like how he pursude his dreams and his good songs that use less foul language then his other ones.

People thought differently of him because he was like a white rapper. Back then, there were usually black rappers.

@other guy; http://www.lyricsstyle.com/e/eminem/kim.html

''Eminem raps in this song about his wife, Kimberly, who is also the mother of his daughter Hallie. They had a very volatile relationship and divorced in 2001, but reconciled and got back together in 2006. (thanks, Henry - Brooklyn, NY)
In this, Eminem talks about killing Kim. It was the song many women's groups and others who opposed the rapper used as evidence that he should be banned. The controversy got him in the news even more, especially when he and Kim divorced, and helped sell a lot more albums.
The song "The Kids" replaces this on the edited version of the album. (thanks, Paul - North Palm Beach, FL)

Just because he made a song talking loads of crap about his wife doesn't mean he REALLY hates her. Yeah, I'll grow up when it's my time. Maybe when I decide to date online and meet up with someone. Even if I'm wrong, being wrong isn't that bad, you actually learn new stuff.

Can someone close this thread? I don't need any more hatred between me and others.

Yes I date online with Ashley? so? I'm 18 I think I can decide on what I wana do and yep I'm meeting up with her? ..and..your point was? I'm actually proud. At least I can find a good looking girl not like you [cough] let's not go into that Steve shall we? :) remember what kind of questions you were asking me..hm and you were the one saying ''stay on topic''.

Of course not..he said he wants to kill her and ''bleed .. bleed b..'' just because he loves her SOO much

I think the image of hip hop/rap is terrible, people assume its all about the high life, cars, money, girls, thats the image but when you dig down into the true stuff, you'll know most of the stuff is good. I'm not saying that the majority of mainstream rappers are good because infact, there not sometimes.

Rappers like Nas, Mos Def, Talib Kweli rhyme about things people can relate with, they rap from a different perspective.

Metric.

Yeah, Kim is quite a scary song. He is one of few rappers I like, because generally his stuff isn't 'gangster' rap. It's either about his troubles in real life like "The Way I Am", or just plain silly like "The Real Slim Shady" and "The Kids".

I find his silly songs amusing and I think we should see them as his lyrics are portrayed as quite dark. He's successful, I don't mind him :)

No, every album has it's silly songs. His new albums like Encore and Eminem Show still have them. Encore has "Big Weenie" and "A*s Like That" and Eminem Show has "Without Me" and you could say "My Dad's Gone Crazy" is a sillier song. Generally his sillier songs get released as they appeal to more people, and his best songs stay on the album only, which is good as then they don't get overplayed.

Eminem's a good rapper in that he can rap quite fast, but I find his voice extremely annoying. He sounds like a 10 year-old on helium with someone holding his balls in a vice.

He's also not a fantastic lyricist. Many rappers have the same problem, and I'll admit he does better than many, but I still don't find him very inspiring. Then again, I listen to ICP and Twiztid when I listen to rap, and their lyrics are about as inspiring as caulliflower.

He's not a wigger though, he's stated many times that he doesn't care if people think rap is only for black people (which it certainly isn't). Good on him for that, even if he does make up stories about certain things (such as when he was interviewed on TV, he was asked about ICP as they grew up in the same area as Eminem, and he is quoted as then talking about beating up ICP all the time, when they never actually met..).

I think his older material does, on Marshall Mathers and Slim Shady LP's, but on Encore, in the more serious songs his voice has really matured in songs like Mosh and Crazy In Love.

FlyingJesus
29-04-2006, 04:45 PM
He hit puberty quite late on then. Also, he should stick to the rapping, and leave singing to .. well, singers. His voice may well be annoying when he raps, but it gets somehow more high-pitched and off-key when he sings. Kudos to him for trying though, successful man apart from the singing.
