Well i need a name for It and i started coding but current layout is horrible
features are:
name change
email (pm but uses emails for external people)
emotions
display pics
colored names
tabbed browsing
whos online
recent chat list (stores 3 latest chats)
nudges (need different name)
/ commands (need to decide still)
Heres Basic Design (this was just my example made in paint it will not be used i am going to get someone to fix it up nice)

Plz rate on layout not on actualy like boxes or w.e as it was quick one for example.

Are you progamming it in visual basic? If so this should be in the computer talk section.

I think he said it was going to be an online one. Could you make it so it retrieves your MSN, AIM and Yahoo! Contact list?

na i aint using the messenger api why would i want it to retrieve your msn yahoo and aol contact lists thats pointless.
no-soz theres like no way not to make it sound like msn look at aol yahoo, google chat they all have basicly the same features.

As said you will probably use MSN API and to be honest I would rather stick with Microsofts version as thats not too buggy and works for what I need.

I was of the understanding he wasnt useing any network at all? i belive he said he was going to store all messages in an online db, which would be recalled via that mechism, as in avoiding any need for a prebuilt messenger system at all.

Could be mistaken though
