Ever dated somebody because you felt sorry for that person?

I personally haven't dated anybody because I felt sorry for that person, but I know a girl who has, even when she broke up she felt sorry because the guy cried and they got back together again for a while. So I'm wondering if anybody has ever dated somebody because you felt sorry for that person and how did it end? (if it has ended)

i have and i ended it because the 1st girl i ever loved wanted 2 get bak with me and been together for 9 months 2 weeks and 3 days rofl :D

yer, i have. I went out with this guy - i really fancied his bes m8 tho bt i felt sorry 4 im cz he fancied me 4 ages. I went out with him for a week or so and couldnt stand it anymore. I regret it personally. :(

Wannabe emos tend to be really nice but never fecking shut up about how ****** their life is. I want them to all go to an island so they can drive each other mad and leave us alone. And the "real emos" have killed themselves already, so theres no problem! (I would normally say no offence, but in this case that was the point)

And I suppose i have. The person im going out with told me she fancied me about a month before we started going out, but i couldnt have cared less about the boyfriend/girlfriend crap, but since weve been going out and ive got to know her better shes sort of grown on me and i love her now :)

I dated this one girl because my ex wouldnt date anyone else unless she saw me dating someone, so she set me up with her best friend who is not attractive at all and was not a very good kisser.
And then when i finished with her i felt sorry for her so i got back with her for like a day but couldnt take anymore. This was years ago tho!

Hmm.. well i was once dating this guy n i thoguht i liked him but when i dumped him he was really upset n he was saying stuff like "i love you" n stuff like that so we got back together.

this happened a few times until none of us could take it anymore n we stopped talking to each other full stop.

Now he has a girlfriend 1 year younger then him and shes gunna have a baby soon. (haha yes we are still in school)

also in the same year i was with this lad n i thoguh ti liked him too. then i dumped him for the first time n it happened agen :P but i only got back with him 1 more time.

now - 2 years later - im with him. but i still dunno if i like him / trust him.
