In a year when everyone thought Microsoft would struggle in the shadow of the PS3 and Wii, they've come through with the goods.

Not only has some amazing gameplay of Gears of War been aired, and a demo of Lost Planet been put on Marketplace, but some (quite literally) earth-shattering news has been announced.

Firstly - Halo 3 is coming. It's actually Halo 3, not any of that Forerunner tosh, and it's got a trailer on Marketplace. If you have a 360, don't run off and download quite yet, there's more to come.

Microsoft has just pulled the rug from under Sony's feet, and delivered a crushing blow: Grand Theft Auto IV is coming to the 360 on October 17th, 2007. Gone are the days of Playstation exclusivity, but the new GTA will debut on the 360. Exclusive deals with Rockstar have also been signed for episodic content to be released after the October date.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What kind of person doesn't play games consoles. Besides, since when are consoles £300-£400?

Good move, but Sony will come back with something. This is the type of thing that makes these wars interesting.

O.o, so much to come it makes it all exciting! GTA debuting on the Xbox first, jeez Sony will be pee'd off :rolleyes:

Rockstar has now said that it will be coming out on both PS3 and 360 on the same day.

Still a massive victory though for the 360; and the PS3 won't be getting the episodic content (ie. more missions released for you to download).

Why do people like Ps3 i thought sony was from japan not australia cos teh controllers look like boomerangs lol dont dis Xbox 360 it was that or Psp im getting the new psp for my Bday the one with camera on it :P

They changed the controlloer and its not a boomerang anymore..
