Now feedback, I would like you to say if you like it or not, why and how I can improve.

Drop shaddow = Bad thing. Looks alright, in a way. Loose or put a low opacity on the drop shaddow, then it may look alright :)

Hey, thanks for your feedback.

Drop shaddow was used with a darker colour due to the light background, using light colours will make the affect pointless. Thank you anyway ;)

Thanks, yes I may add some images. It is boxy due to organisation, people perfer sites that are easy to navigate. This breaks up the site and I think helps.

I like the idea of it, you got the idea but need to position it right, remember were not designing for habbox people were designing for the bbc keep it proffesional that text used on the first nav at the very top is awful use a verdana 10px white non bold or bold also the shadow may not be neccary and Try use different color text ont he boxes i.e whites and blacks not just blacks, its gt alot of potential though, well done danny wouldnt expect it from you.

7.2/10.

Jealousy. I was going to apply, but my HTML/CSS isn't 100%. I would love a powerbook though.

Thanks for the useful feedback, some people (http://www.tim-rogers.co.uk) cant give it.

I may use some of your feedback in my work.

OK, as Danny is claiming that I'm jealous, here are the reasons that I dislike it:

- Would the BBC have gaming in the topbar?
- Would the BBC use Visitor, it's a non-standard font?
- I can't see the BBC using that many shadows, it makes it too dark
- How can you differentiate between links and normal text?
- All the colours are a little heavy, too dark imo

in regards to your post, If the colours are to light, you should change those colours instead of adding things to the design to make it look right. Always select the correct background, then edit the colour if needed. Never add drop shaddow in such a way as it changes the look of the design in seconds, bringing the total asthetics down too.

Also, it is too boxy, and too plain, I think the BBC would like something more flexable to the user, in case of disabilities such as colur blindness, may be able to change the website to a lighter background and increase the font size etc.

It's these little personal touches which may help you win the competition, of course I am not going to give all of my ideas out, but that was a few ;)

Very snazzy.

I like the whole design, but go easy on the drop shadow, and space the boxes more width ways. It looks too crammed in.
