On e-bay (according to my book) this dude put up for bid, a standard £1 coin.
Guess how much he got for it? £90,000. This was a normal coin. Then, he sold his story to papers/tabloids to gain double that. He was so popular in the news, papers etc. he made £1,000,000! This was just from a standard £1 coin.

Also, a dude sold a Tesco bag for £4 :p.

People buy things off eBay for fun, I remember a few years back I went in to my Mum's Workplace and the person on the next computer was bidding for a spanish insruction manual. She couldn't understand spanish. Aye, yai, yai...

People will buy anything or collect anything. I remember there was a woman on tv who collected crisps because she said they looked like people. * coo coo*

No..I dont believe that, why in the world would anyone give so much for a coin, even if it WAS a special coin, WHY! Its not possible, I dont think someone has that kind of money to spend on one, ONE!!, coin.
I think $ 1000 really is the limit for a coin (I couldn't find the pound sign on my dutch keyboard :p)

Anyways, people do buy and sell crazy stuff.
Someone offered alot of coke on Ebay. Also someone sold his soul on Ebay.
Alot of crazy stuff is offered on Ebay, from toenails to souls, simple rocks to huge diamants...

Wow...thats a bit ignorant of the man. He could have probably sought out a person and bought it off a person who had no need of their pound coin for maybe 1/10,000 of the price. But oh well, somebody does ahve to win and somebody does have to lose

If someone put a dollar up, it will sell for about -£1, 000, 000. I think it is because the pound is infact the most valuableist coin on the Earth, then Barmy Blair is seeing if we can join the Euro, I hope he is out of office then!
