Habbo Hotel now stocks fairtrade chocolate
http://images.habbohotel.co.uk/c_images/album1054/NewDubblesmall.jpgFollowing the peaceful demonstration on Thursday 4th May, we at Habbo Hotel have decided to allow our cafeterias to stock Fairtrade chocolate.
The demonstration was supplemented by an email campaign launched by Dubble Agents: Hundreds of activists bombarded Habbo with emails asking them, telling them, demanding them to stock Fairtrade Choc. It got so much at one point that Helkat said "I'm not very happy about all these emails." and she wasn't, and she told Smash to do something.
Following the lengthy demonstrations Mr. Dionysus, Mr. Smash and a strange man claiming to be Phillip Kotler- but was probably Mr. Lost_Witness, who has become a master of disguise of late. He does a great impression of a chair. Very comfortable.
The meeting took twelve minutes and it was henceforth decided that the cafeterias in Habbo Hotel should stock Fairtrade chocolate in support of cocoa farmers in Africa. Smash said: "Yeah well. Our users asked for us to stock Fairtrade goods and so we responded by doing so. Although these goods (on Habbo) are virtual, we see our move as symbolic of the direction society has taken." Dionysus on the other hand said: "Our users said they wanted this thing. So we sat down and discussed it. We came to the conclusion that it was the right thing to do, although at the same time we hope our users do not see this as a precedent and start holding demonstrations for the release of the Orb Of Doom." Lost_Witness, pretending to be someone else pretending to be a chair just chuckled to himself "Har har! No one knows this is me... Perfect..."
And that is that.
The Habbo Cafeterias now stock Fairtrade goods.
Smash has learned the value of dialogue with Habbos.
Dionysus has learned how to create, win and dominate markets.
Lost_Witness learned that pretending to be a chair was the way forward.
