A control panel some hosts have installed on their servers. You can add passwords to folders, create FTP accounts and add sub domains etc.

Its a webhosting control panel used by many webhosts. It will allow you to change, add and remove things for your website ;) somebody else can go into detail.

when you have webspace, go on your cpanel and you have a file manager, redirects, bulletin boards, subdoamins, etc., you can manage it all from here.

I remember when i bought the xenigma layout off of Mike.

It said go into cPanel and click Mysql Database stuff.. I went into my comp's Control panel and was like "Where the **** is that#?"
