Snake is the MAIN new character theyre putting on. Where have you been lately? Meta Knight, Pit, Samus Zero Suit and Snake are definately added on, the other.... not confirmed.

I don't know these characters personally but..

Ridley - A dragon or something who is a villian in the Metroid Prime Series.

Star Wolf - Judging by his name and position in the character select, he is a villian from the Star Fox series?

Samuri Goroh - A villian from Captain Falcon's game or whatever it's called. I think you can see him in the Melee intro.

Fierce Deity Link - To me, he looks like a villian on the Zelda series. :P

Come to think of it, Falco in the picture looks a bit weird. By that I mean his eyes. They look a bit too round for Falco. From what I remember, his was a bit thinner and longer, but I might be wrong ;P
