Moto GP - Round 5 - Le Mans (France)

Only hours away now from the French Moto GP race of 2006! Yesterday's qualifying was astonishing as usual, Daniel Pedrosa took pole position and Valentino Rossi was yet again down the field in position 7. I'll keep you updated of the race as it happens. :)

UPDATE: Looks like we could be having a wet race! http://www.motogp.com/en/motogp/index.htm - check the live webcam, it's been raining and could rain again later.

It was a fantastic race going right to the end!

Rossi was leading ahead of Dani Pedrosa until a electronical problem shut down his bike and he was forced to retire.
Pedrosa's tires were wearing out and that made him slower, Capirossi & Melandri both overtook him (Capirossi on the final lap!)
So it was Marco Melandri who won the race, Loris Capirossi in 2nd and Dani Pedrosa in 3rd.
