Please keep in mind this was written for English class (stage 2), as my "imaginative writing" peice. My teacher thought this was quite good, considering I normally think of my writing as crap, anyways, judge for yourself, and enjoy aswell. (Copy and pasted from word)

Dear diary,

What I’m about to tell you is bad, really bad in fact. My school has nothing but misery associated with it. Last week, on the 14th February, my best friend in the world got her heart broken, after being with her boyfriend for over a year (15 months to be exact), he dumped her.

Josie was with our group at break, and Paul (her boyfriend) had come up to us, with another girl, and told Josie it was over, then walked away hand in hand with the other girl. Following that Josie cried her heart out for a good half of the day. When she finally stopped, Paul and his new girlfriend walked past, which set Josie off again.

I decided to spend the night at her place, as well as two other friends of ours, Sarah and Sally. The night went good, we had chocolate and watched girly flicks, and then did the best thing, gossip. More like *****ing, but it’s easier just to say its gossip. The night was a blast, except until later that night. Josie got up from her seat when we were watching a movie, and said she needed a bathroom break, so she left the room. After about 10 minutes us girls had noticed she hadn’t returned yet, so we headed up stairs and looked around for her. We opened the bathroom door and there she was, sitting next to the bathtub and leaning on it, crying as blood dripped from her wrist into the bathtub.

That was one crazy night, it frightened us all, more so Josie herself. She hadn’t gone too deep, so there was no really bad damage, just a nasty scar. Josie then started to wear wrist bands to cover it up, which was easy to do because no one said anything about it again. I still thought about if she had done it again.

Josie had moved on, and she had told us all how she liked the new boy at school. He wasn’t the great looking, but according to Josie, he was the kindest person alive. They started spending a lot of time together, during and out of school.

Just yesterday was a very eventful day, Josie was flirting with “the new boy”, Kyle, at the time, as Paul walked past without his girl. Paul stopped walking and looked at Josie, called her a **** and then punched Kyle in the jaw. Kyle dropped to the ground straight away and Paul laid into him. After a couple of students pulled Paul off of Kyle, the result of what Paul had done was obvious, blood was flowing from Kyle’s nose and mouth.

Paul was suspended a bit later in the day, and threatened to kill Kyle. Josie was shaken, and wasn’t sure what to think. I mean, imagine your long time partner just dumps you, and is already with another chick straight away, then you move on and you’re doing the wrong thing. It’s really stupid diary.

She was meant to call me last night, I had my mobile switched on all night, and home line free most of it. She never did call. I went to bed early wondering why she hadn’t. I, and the majority of the school, found out today. There was a school assembly called in the morning. The principal announced that Josie had killed herself. They didn’t say how, or why. Of course they didn’t say why, no one knew why. People had their beliefs, but no one knew as well as I and the other girls did. Josie died from a broken heart.

The whole school was miserable today, I don’t think I saw even one person smile, not even the preps. And they’re usually giggling like little school girls, which they are. The nerds weren’t smiling like idiots at all, just had tears in their eyes. Not many people were crying, except me and the girls, but mostly everyone had tears in their eyes.

Kyle had come to talk to us today, he told us how much he liked Josie, and began crying himself. It’s so strange seeing a guy cry, Diary. He vowed he would get Paul back for all the pain he caused Josie. We just sat their in silence for the rest our break and lessons. No work was done, because no work was given to us. The teachers had decided to go easy on us, I thought that day would never come. Then again, I never thought this day would ever come either.

Anyway Diary, that’s why I haven’t written to you in over a week. I’ve just had a lot on my mind. I hope you understand. Hang on, I know you understand. You’ve been by me through everything, Diary. I miss Josie, I really do…
