What is 'Wii'? I've seen it on loads of forums, but I have no idea what it is. Is it Nintendo's name for Wi-Fi?

This is from Wikipedia:
Internationally, the phonetic pronunciation resembles words (are homophones) in various languages:
In English: we
In French: oui (meaning: yes)
In German: wie (meaning: how)
In Japanese: ii (meaning: good) W (acts as a doubling modifier)
In Korean: wii (top)
In Swedish: vi (meaning: we)
