I'm on the verge of buying one after seeing aload of great games on there[Halo 3 to be released,Hitman:BM,Perfect Dark Zero,Ghost Recon,DOA4] but I realised there is only 2 Controller ports:@ What is up with only 2 ports? And is there any 'Multi-taps' you can buy for it to have like 4-8 players? Also any reasons why not to get one? ;)

Well, I see you're planning to buy the Core package since you're concerned about the ports- bad idea. Just buy the Premium one instead.

The Xbox 360 actually uses wireless controllers and supports about 4 controllers, I believe.

i think it actualy has 3 usb ports that can be used for wired controlers
(one in back on consel)

then you can use wireless for more.

I am pritty sure you can only have 4 total controlers.

I have 2 wireless and one wired atm.

Abit off topic, but do you have the battery pack recharger thingy?

If so I was wodnering how long it normally takes for you to recharge when you are not playing while using it?

i have 2 battery pacts and one plug and play charger

but not the one that you charge seperatly which i think you are talking about

the plug and play thing works great and the batterys hold a long charge

it's the plug and play i'm talking about. I was just wondering how long they normally take, as i'm off to bed soon, and with the Xbox being noisy as hell i'll have to turn it off when I go to bed.

Since wireless comtrollers are compaible with the 360, then it should support 4 even if there are 2 sockets.

I just went on a few sites, none of them state anything about the sockets, but by the pictures it only looks like it has 2 sockets.

Craig, you don't need sockets, wires are FTL.

About an hour to charge when not using. The battery lasts for ages. I've not charged mine for a month now and still a fifth juice left in it.

And a maximum of controllers to be used, as the ring of light on the controller has different LED's.

Yeah, bascially I left it for 6 hours while I was at college, still going strong at the mo. Cheers for help anyway.

Unsure on wether to get a 360[costs alot] or DS which is a bit more cost effective:P Although 360 has amazing graphics but DS has pokemon? "/

Get a DS Lite on the 23rd June, and some games from W.H.Smith - DS titles are 2 for £45 at the moment.

Alternatively if you get a 360, there's plenty of room for controllers. 4 wireless and 3 wired. No ports are needed for wireless, and it's the usb ports used for the wired controllers.
