Yes, Sony announced the camera for a PSP at the E3.
They only had a black camera on display and announce it will be released in September

And the modchip is coming out soon. Wich means you can run two firmwares on your psp.

It looks quite odd, but cameras are good :) The Eyetoy was anyway.

I don't see what I'd use it for though, other than being able to facemap myself into games. (I know all the video calling stuff is possible too, but I don't see the point seeing as I could just use my webcam)

If they put it on the white ones that have just came out they are now on the game.net site for £209.99 with three games E.g. Worms Open Warfare,Football Manager Handheld,Sims 2 and outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast.

Anyway, the camera is the real deal and its been displayed for some time now.

The one thing I don't understand though is why major PSP accesories never match the handheld. The earphones were Apple-signature white while the rest of the system was Jet Black. And now this- a chrome camera. It doesn't seem to fit in, in my opinion (and the opinion of others might I add).

Yeh I have that too. And the headphones are part gray ( the controller part) And the memory cards are all colors ( mines yellow!!) So yeh... SONY MAKE UP YOUR MINDS!!!!!!!!

Mod chips for psp are complete nub.
Already been tested by people andis said to brick your PSP. I am definetly not getting this mod chip for PSP ill just use my spare psp (firmware v1.5) and play homebrew on there =p
