What a scam! Do you live with anyone that might have called them? When were all the calls supposed to have taken place?

OllieRocks
22-01-2005, 04:46 PM
No, I live on my own. :(

All the calls took place within 2 hours.

No-one has been to my house in the last month. Except the gas man. LOL

Hmmm, weird - definately worth reporting to someone, maybe BT and/or Habbo, but I'm not too sure what to do in a situation like that, call the BT helpline or something I suppose?

BT say we will look into it and start a investigation.

Report to watchdog filed

Report to trading standards filed. (I didn't really know wether it was trading standards but it was purchasing something)

Isn't impossible to make 636 calls to habbo in 2 hours each call last at least 1 minute so thats 60 seconds = 1 min = 1 call so x2 is 600 calls and the calls are easy over a minute. :p

Right, i am 21 right, and i get billed by BT every month. I spend 10 pounds a month on credits and no less or no more.

Today, i got my bill, calls to the number 0905657575 cost me £636 pounds and i had aparently called 636 times.

On the first day of everymonth i call habbo 10 times and no more.

What is up with this?

Beware........ you'll prob see me on WatchDog soon!!!

You Would Of Had.

6360 Creds :o

Azela's right, it would take you about 3 hrs to make those calls, and did you get those credits?

My friend had the same thing.
They didn't had to pay a thing since it came out to be a glitch.
Contact Habbi about this and it will be solved ;)

It is rare, but possible, that if you use dial up internet, that someone can hack into the modem and make calls to any number worldwide. I am unaware of how it works, but in the paper today actually there was a report of this happening in my neighbourhood.

OllieRocks

Oh and - i didnt even get the credits

OllieRocks
22-01-2005, 10:34 PM

Thats strange. As everyone else says it would have taken around 3 hours, plus they only let you call up 10 times each day..

Michael.

BT may have got it wrong.
Contact them?

BlackGarden
23-01-2005, 12:56 PM
It would actually take over 10 and a half hours to make 636 calls, assuming each call lasts one minute.
Janeh: I just looked on the Habbo site and I couldn't find the bit about them only allowing a certain number of calls per day. I'm sure there is though because I'm sure I saw it before. Do you know where it is?

OK Guys, BT said it was a 'Glitch' in their system and are sorry. Plus they will not charge for ANY of the calls made to that number that month (Means the 10 times i did call was free - w00t w00t!)

Cheers

Ollie
