Im not to keen on the over-all colour scheme of the layout. Also it seems kinda plain and boring. But still, your only learning aren't you? Goodluck with future efforts :)

Critisims:
Humm dont like the texsture, they waste mass's of space and look kinda ugly, better to keep to flat colour for the bulk of the body, then provaly embos it IMO
Shapeing seems ok, but not much room for content alot of the arias are pretty useless due to there size, and the headings waste alot of space, also very monotone, i prefer layouts with a bit more colour / vibrance realy "/
