Maybe they're to do with the Gods?

You get three eggs, green, blue, and red.

Green is Guthix?
Blue is Saradomin?
Red is Zamorak?

Green hatches into Gulls?
Blue hatches into Penguins (when the update comes)?
Red hatces into Evil Chicken?

about those eggs... mabey the bird's are not the only ones involved...

bird eggs come in 3 colors:

Green
Red
Blue

kinda fits togeter like a puzzle...

Guthix
Zamorack
Saradomin

perhaps the penguins represent Saradomin, the Gulls are Guthix, and of course Evil Chicken of Zamorack.
