A link was posted a couple of days ago, on the .com.sg homepage, to a write up of a new scam.

"Console Email Scam"

The below email is sent to a Habbo through the Console. It is a scam. Do not respond to it if you receive it. It was NOT sent by Saffron. Habbo Staff would never ask for your personal details.

Dear \'Habbo\',

Recently while updating our newest server we encountered a fatal error in which our list of passwords were deleted, Our backup system backed 97% of them up but missed 3%. While your password will still work we require your Habbo Name, Date of Birth and Password to ensure you have full security.

Please e-mail me those to my personal e-mail address as we would like to keep this quiet, Magiclover69********.com

Happy Habboing!

Regards,
Saffron,
Hotel Manager,
Habbo Hotel SG

please do not fal for this scam, whether you hail from .com, .com.sg or .co.uk

stay safe. and happy habboing.

i think that is a very well thought up scam, takes a much more devious scammer to pull that off than... 'Look, when you type your pass it comes up as stars: ****** Wow!' Well done sherlock!

lol, I agree it is a difficult scam to come up with, but not very easy to fall for.

to be honest, i did a little scamming when .com first came out...i had to money, and noone would trade for my .co.uk stuff so i made a scam site. i never tried it in .co.uk but in .com it worked like a charm because everyone was so new! i was getting countless hc sofas! then someone found out and i got banned.
but the moral is, anything can work n a new hotel

If you look at the top when you console someone, It has a checkcheck mark that says "console" abd one that says "e-mail" If you check it it'll e-mail them if its the right one
