I recieved the following read in an email

A girl and guy were speeding over 100 mph on the road...
Girl: Slow down. Im scared.
Guy: No this is fun.
Girl: No its not. Please, its too scary!
Guy: Then tell me you love me.
Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!
Guy: Now give me a BIG hug.
*Girl hugs him*
Guy: Can you take my helmet off & put it on yourself? Its bugging me.

(In the paper the next day):
A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of break failure. 2 people were on it, but only 1 survived.

The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his breaks broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him & felt her hug 1 last time, then had her wear his helmet so that she would live even though it meant that he would die.

Would you do this for someone?

Apart from @K and -Illusions everyone sounds like such nerds picking this story apart. You guys are reacting how I would expect the 2 nerdy guys from the Simpsons to react to this sort of thing.

Why can't you appreciate the story instead of getting out your evidence and pulling down the OHP to disprove the idea.

Lol, agreed. That could happen though, but if it ever did, id rather save my loves life, than mine. In any event of a life threatning situation involving my loved one.

Because it's poo. It's not picking the story apart, it's saying what we'd do. I for one would (in that situation) panic, start screaming about what's happening, let go of the accelerator and pull over - rather than speeding up to a point where survival is unlikely even with a helmet and a hug.

Also, sorry, I wasn't aware that we aren't allowed to have a higher brain capacity than someone who writes chain mail.

sorry for bump! but o well,,,,,,,,,,,well even if he did take his foot off the bike will still be going fast and there could have been something coming up that he needed to slow down for bu5t he was still going fast so yeah he could pull over, (hehe picking holes even more) ansd also what was the girl doing without a helmet on and it would be impossibale at 100ph for her to take his helmet off as she would be letting go of fhim then menaing she would probs fall off (yes i know its fictional but its fun to pick holes) and i havnt seen this one where it goes in a building there are so many other versions
