My parents seem to think ever since our computer had a keylogger that HabboHotel is the butt of it, this is really hypocritical as although there are numerous amounts of scams going on around the Hotel doesn't mean that Shockwave Software is a scam, after all wouldn't it be shut down seeing as though you need to download Shockwave to get on to all Habbo Hotels and Habbo has a high how should I put it 'popularity' rate wouldn't that be scamming thousands more people than usual.

Because of this idea Habbo is somehow a hoax I have been banned from going on Habbo...ever!! It's a game I know but come on it's unique to other chat sites and look how many fansites it's got on it, it's started a whole new craze.

I fail to see how my parents can think that Shockwave/Sulake are unreliable pieces of software, I wouldn't say it is a democracy but it is hypocritical.

I'd appreciate if you shared your views on this matter because I know that the Staff on Habbox/HabboxForum are at least.... fair...

Thank you.

Get your parents to e-mail into Habbo about their concerns. Perhaps Habbo can set their minds at rest?

I'm not sure that would work.. every time I go onto the subject my Dad will just
go off or just firmly say 'No' or say another negative thing about Habbo.

yes my parents thought habbo was the cause of virus's on the computer. That is why i left habbo and gave away my rares. I tried to explain to them that so many people use habbo it wouldn't give virus's. Once the virus's were removed off teh computer it still kept crashing, i discovered after looking on many internet forums that the problem is the computer has a low memory and our virus protection norton anti virus uses up large amounts of memory causing the computer to crash. I tried to convince my parents this but they still got the new computer - which now has McAfee.

Thought i shood share that with you :D lol

well, just tell them to go on the habbo homepage and have a look about :p, i wasn't aloud to go on habbo for a while...but that was because i was on it 24/7 lol. Habbo is one of the most safe (apart from scams etc) hotels on the web i think... :p

Depends; If you asked me 2 years ago, I would have said no. Simply because of the download time on a 56k line. Now i've got broadband, home network and my own computer, I can't really say no :P
