What are the best parties you've been to? What makes a good party for you?

The best party I've been to had no alcohol but for some reason everyone was in a brilliant mood and it just went great.

I went to a party last night, this party had enough beer and vodka to sink a ship. We all got very drunk , the police came round because they had reports of a fight, but let us carry on when there was no fight - but for some reason it wasn't the best party ever.

I'm not really a party person myself, I prefer just maybe having a few friends together, not particularly with alcohol even - like you said, some of the best gatherings are alcohol-free.

Best party I ever went to was one a chum of mine decided to hold in his garden - about 8 of us (all blokes) outside on his trampoline beating each other up with big foam sticks, just having a laugh and such, then sleeping out there in tents.

For me, a good party is one, where everone is just in a good mood enjoying themselves. There has to be good music, and the dance floor has to be full (I'm always the first to get uip xD), and there has to be good snacks aswell. Lol.

Alcohol is good at parties I think, as it does help a lot of people loosen up and beome for confident etc. around others, but in the same way it can also ruin a party for me, so it just depends! :]

so i cant answer that questions really as all parties are normal. charity dos i sit n watch the entertainment whilst the same guy from every other do stares at me alot (last time my mum noticed)

parties in the house i sit at the computer n stuff. ive never been dtunk before :P so i havnt got any funny stories like that either xD

Ive been to quite a few parties, and I normally get drunk. But the best was my friends Davids. We all got drunk ate about a pound of steak each and threw up.

Yesturdays party was good but it wasnt a party we just all went campin with booze :D Started drinkin at like 11.30 am till 1 ish :P
Like 30 boys/girls where there and then like 10 actualyl camped but all the others stayed till 2. We then got woke up at 4.
I was puking as i drank to much and my head kept falling in the sick haha. Loads of other funny stuff happened.
I going to another party today at 6 which will probs be rubbish.

Alcohol is good at parties I think, as it does help a lot of people loosen up and beome for confident etc. around others, but in the same way it can also ruin a party for me, so it just depends! :]

i think thats a valid reason but that doesnt seem a good exscuse to make yourself ill O.o

Like I said, it's good til a certain point, until it gets out of hand.

For instance, if a couple of drinks helps people open up and become themselves, the I think it's good, but if it's simply because their set goal is to become drunk or whatever.. I don't really like it..

I just get peed off and bored when I drink, because I have all the outward signs of being drunk (stumbling, mumbling, eyes glazed over) but I can still think straight, which is annoying because I'm still just as boring as ever, but also lose the ability to even converse, which leaves me with nothing to do.

My kinda parties:
Alcohol, BOYS! (FIT BOIS!), friends, TV, music and loads of snacks... with a few fizzy drinks.:)
Although, i wouldnt get drunk, just would have a few, probably some WKD's, i love the blueberry ones, and vodka with coke, thats gorg. But when im drunk, im told im 'fun', me and my sister have alot in common, when were tipsy/drunk, were always fun and talkative stuff like that,not mouthing, or slurring, just fun. :) But i only get tipsy/drunk on special occasions. :)

Best party I ever went to was last summer at my brothers girlfriends house, her parents were gone for like a week and she was having parties every day of the week so I decided to show up one night. Oh umm I forgot to mention that I was 15, and everyone else was like 17 and 18. So anyway when I got there all of my brothers friends were hooking me up with free alcohol, and soon after a bunch of shots I was pretty wasted. And it was such a good party cause everyone was really cool and just chillen the whole time, and no one had a problem with me being there and being younger. I also bonged a beer for the first time. So it was definetly one of the best parties I've ever been to, I wasnt even hung over in the morning so bonus.

Lol don't worry, I'm sure it'll be fine. Just make sure theres a good selection of snacks and nibbles on the go, lol. And make sure the musics pumping and people are up dancing - a party is always better if everyones dancing!

A good party for me depends on my mood beforehand.

Normally I like a certain amount of alcohol, so everyone is friendly and loosened up, but not too much that people get stupid and throw up and whatnot.

Best party for me.. hmm i dont even know, possibly one of mine (although it was catastrophic, damages and sick and stuff, summat real good happened) or my mates 3 day party for her birthday.

Haha, that's another reason why I go easy on the alchohol. My mates get blitzed and tanked, then end up going on a whitie, whereas I know when to stop.

In small quantitys its okay. But greens is worse than rocks so if you do to much greens with alchol then your gonna be a bit ill.

I've only gone too a few partys, since I'm not a party type of guy :eusa_danc However, the only decent one I have been to was basically a sleepover, because there were only 2 guests - me and my mate :D So it wasn't costrophobic, and we all 3 of us slept on the floor (for some reason :rolleyes:). We also sprayed our aftershaves at eachother in an Aftershave fight :) Which was a stupid idea because we could have killed ourselves - still, t'was funny :P

My family use to hold New Years Eve partys in my garage, but my relatives are being out of order to my family, so we stopped having them - I also hate my relatives :D But the partys were awesome, since the garage looked great, lots of alcohol (too bad I weren't allowed none :'() and there were fireworks ;)

Like, few mates there. Alcohol on hand. Got a little drunk n a few of us were just jumpin around on the air bed singing songs we didnt really like. Parents didnt get in till like 1/2am which was fun. It did'nt turn out the greatest of nights as someone put laxatives in my drink :( NOT FUNNEH!!

OK, So in the morning, we got a limo to Waterworld. Had fun in the limo and at waterworld. When we got back we were all jumping around on the trampoline. Then I went home because I was ready to kill one of the lads there who I pretended to like for a while, but just couldnt do with his attitude no longer

I forgot to add that the best parties are at someone elses house. I had a few at my house when my parents went on vacation and i got totally wasted but i kinda had to worry about the house and make sure no one did anything stupid. So its definetly better if its at someone elses house then all you have to worry about is having a good time.

my 16th bday was the best loadss of food about 20 -25 of my mates loads of booze and load music. had a wkd nite then it colled down and we had a chill about 5 in the morning and then had 2 clean up cos my mum was on the way home. lol

The best parties are private parties. You dont want people that just want to cause some trouble and get wasted coming along, so yeah private parties.

Also; music, both genders, alcohol, place & things to do are important.

Music: Gotta be good enough to make everyone dance, dont go for the cheesey music like Peter Kay - Amarillo.

Both genders: Parties seem to be alot better if there is a mix of genders. All the same gender tends to be a bit less exciting. Being a lad I know that males just want to impress each other if there is no females there, and alot of the time things get broken around the house or wherever the parties at.

Alcohol: Enough to make people "loosen up" and no more than that. You dont want people collapsing and having to have their stomach pumped do you.

Place: House parties are the best in my opinion. They are alot more, well, comfortable? Theres sofa's, bedrooms;), carpets, cushions etc. Just make sure everyone cleans up in the morning!

Things to do: Got to keep everyone entertained. In the summer, water activites are a good idea, as everyone will get all hot dancing all night and may wanna cool down. A personal favourite of mine is a certain variation of Poker, just make sure you play with both genders;)

Best party I ever went to was about 50:50 ratio of males and females that were friends with each other, great music, open space for dancing, hose pipes set out in garden with water balloons etc, crisps and other snacks, was bring your own alcohol and everyone got 'tipsy', poker, and a great sitting area with about 4-5 sofas. Ended up pulling some girl and spent most of the night with her, but I had respect for my mates house so we didnt get up to anything.

I'm going to a little shindig for a chum's 16th tomorrow, we're basically getting smashed and sleeping in a big tent in his garden for some reason. Just lads, which means it's going to be more of a "funny" party than anything else - although knowing my friends, they could get up to anything.

I love parties, and i like alcohol, however there are other ways of having fun without it, and sometimes people dont realise that, or they like to boast by saying omg i got wel drunk last night, i love alcohol etc

I agree, my friend had a house party for his birthday a few months ago, and one gang turned up, probably about 20 of them. And were trying to get into the house, they were ramming full force into the window. The dad of the boys whos party it was was going skitz and was trying to get outside to smash the kids heads in (we were holding him back). So yeah the boy whos party it was he couldn't enjoy it and didnt drink or anything as he was worrying to much.

Every night me and my mates go to a local schools field (Balliol Primary) and get absoloutely smashed out of our ****ing skulls haha, but, I didn't go tonight, as I'm grounded...

MY usual friday night supplies:
*1/4 of The green stuff
*1 liter of vodka
*half liter of Jack Daniel
*4 cans of Carling

I usually end up drinking the vodka half the jack daniels and the cans of carling :D and end up smoking the green stuff,

you dont have to have alcohol for a good party sometimes parties are better without alcohol but yes i think you need 2 main things for a party
