man it is soo annoying that first off english heritage has been damaged as well as 1000's of people are going bankrupt.

let me explain to u city slicker out there that without us keeping foxes down then u will not have farmers growing fine crops anymore as the foxes eat them. no more chicken or turkey as once agen fox who may i add are vermin eat them.

also i love foxes and the new laws actually mean foxes get hurt more. u are not allowed to give it a quick virtually painless death anymore but u are only allowed to corner it and shoot it ONCE basically 50% of the time the fox will live and will have to hobble off to a painful death, slow lying down with any chance of life taken from them. in scotland the economy is down loads as foxes are up loads 1000's of good english farmers and horsemen with good skills have to find a new life.

i am by no means an animal hater. i love them as much as anyone ad agree that animals shud be treated as equals with humans TO A CERTAIN POINT but when there are all these dog food and this cat suffered adverts on telly it is too easy to forget that over 200,000 were killed in a tsunami and that 10,000 people die daily thru poverty. there is aids and of course the war on iraq whiich was supported by the conservatives by the way.

I say love animals but we must remember that humans suffer too.

just think about it

ur frend

Foxes aren't particularly vermin, they eat to survive like any other creature does.

A fox is chased for sometimes miles by dogs, horses and humans, imagine yourself being chased by someone for miles knowing that if you ever stopped you'd be killed.

If chasing helpless animals for the sheer joy is english heritage, im starting to wonder what kind of society we live in!

I couldn't agree more Janeh! And don't call me a "townie" or a "city girl" or whatever because I do live in a rural area, right next to some woods. And yes, my next door neighbour used to keep chickens and sometimes the foxes got them. But she agreed with me on fox hunting. Whenever we heard that awful horn our blood ran cold. Those are OUR woods and those hunters have NO right to be going around killing the foxes in our woods. They don't live anywhere near the woods. They live miles away in a nearby TOWN. A load of townies having a weekend's killing in OUR WOODS.
Fortunately, the village recently bought the woods, and voted almost unanimously to ban people from foxhunting in the woods.
The ONLY people who agree with foxhunting are those who are too close to see that what they are doing is utterly cruel and wrong.

It is an English Tradition and basically if that is banned, why not ban Eating Meat full stop

So GommeInc, if it were a tradition for me to poke an owl with a red hot poker twice daily, you would ask me to please continue as it was a tradition. It used to be traditional to hang people. Bear fighting is traditional in some countries. Does that make it okay? These arguments of "tradition" are blind and subjective, and really miss the point as far as morality is concerned.

moratlity isnt pre defined it is tought, what you think is wrong, others think is right, and vica versa, i DISAGREE with the govemnet, Telling people what they have to do, and what is right and what is wrong.
Like the stupidity about loweing fat in food, I think its my choise to eat helthy on unheathy, Unless your an idiot, you are shoruld be aware that if you eat fattening foods every day you will become fat, i bleive its a person choise not the govemnt, the same thing with fox hunting.
Im against what britan is becomeing aka "the nanny state"

We aren't a nanny state nor are we becoming one, most things banned by the government were primitive traditions made up by our ancestral monarchs.

The govemnt half the time is ither making public place cut down trees, as there apprntly dangeros, forsing fast food to change repies so are helther, (nice tasting food .. is now.. some plastic like slop). Inforcing pointless laws, and planning to enforse more. Id call that becoming a nanny state.

PS, wich primative traditions?

Yes, it is a Tradition, but, that would hurt the owl, the Hounds kill the fox instantly and most hunts don't catch anything!

Hanging went with the Rule if someone has commited a Hanus Crime, they should be murdered themselves etc

Bear Fighting went in England when the bears went DUH. Yes it does make it ok, we might aswell stop wrestling.

Are you saying blankly that we humans, who have teeth and limbs to hunt and eat meat should stop just be cause we are hurting an animal? It is life DEAL WITH IT!

Also if we were about to be hit by a Nuclear Bomb in under 3.3 seconds, lets go Ban Fox Hunting than save our lives! I don't think so, kill foxes save ourselves! That is what you are also hinting!

I would rather have important rules that will come of some help be enforced rather than save the smelly foxes law.

I feel that people that fox hunt are inhuman! What have foxes done to us? And i dont regard fox hunting as a hobby it's sick watching them being ripped apart by heartless people's dogs.

I have to say GommeInc, that is the best advice you have ever given!

I don't agree with fox hunting, you said that farmers will 'have to corner them and shoot them, and 50% live' Actually, that is not true, as they are banning completely the shooting of animals, and some people who do fox hunting aren't JUST farmers, they are just ordinary people with a stupid hobby, and they don't use the fox for anything (skin, meat) so they just leave the body there to rot away, and also they usually let a dog rip it apart, which is like us ripping each other apart, as dogs and foxes are the same species!
I say, ban fox hunting, FOREVER!

Gommeinc brother used a foxes skin in his gsce art if im not mistaken,

Anyway hanging is included as a stupid tradion, yet from other topics, people seem quite fine to let americans eltricute prisoners to death ?
