In other news...

A major online retailer from France has priced the Wii at 249 Euros (approx $315 USD) although no official announcement has yet been made from Nintendo. It seems like they are taking orders at this price unfortunately what is odd about the information they have on the Wii is that it is from ‘Sony Computer’, so it would be in best interest not to pay attention to it.

Well Sony confirmed the price to be £425. If games were RRP £49.99 like the Xbox 360, then the bundle saves you £25.

I saw this on Gamespot earlier, and the article is completely stupid. It goes way over the top about how much that is in USD. It's a fact that us Britons pay more for things, so we're more used to it. Everyone is like "OMG THAT'S OVER $1000 USD" but the fact of the matter is that we don't get paid in USD, we get paid in GBP. Regardless of what the exchange rate is, prices are relative to the country you're looking at.

Still, it's bloody expensive.

The PS3's price is not consumer priced friendly, but it's not ridiculously expensive either. Many electronic shops and outlets like to bundle their hardware and sell it at very high prices. Some shops are known to sell their whole inventories on eBay to gain a better profit, and therefore, having all the hardware at the store 'sell out' in 2 hours and causing a shortage of that hardware. This is one of the reasons there was a shortage on 360s.

Also, it's normal for the pricing of things i nthe UK be a little higher than the US because of taxes and such. Cost of living there also caries form the US, which is cheaper (in the US).

$599, 599 Euros, and £425 are the official prices (for the higher tier).

The lower tier console is $499 and 499 Euros, but apparently is not going to be released in the UK now.

Actualy atm its almost exactly 3 times more.

And also it may cost you guys more to live BUT we have to pay for collage and university insted of the gov. helping us out.

And also as you posted before its relitive. What you get paied suits you guys and what people in the states gets paied is enough to live there.
