View Full Version : [Bobba] Habbo is the worst game ever.. Period.

Q: Why does habbo gain the title of worst ever?
A: Habbo is the worst ever because Habbo Hotel is making children get addicted to a stupid game about pixels. I myself have spent over £200 on Habbo Hotel and its just messed up. I could be spending that money on something MUCH more worth it. Say a new 500gb harddrive. Maybe a good Linux distro. No. I had to spend it on habbo. Its messed up.
Q: Its your fault for spending that money! Don't blame sulake or habbo.
A: I agree. It is my fault for not keeping control over my money and going mad over habbo. I also will counter this by saying that Sulake and Habbo Staff and constantly asking and telling people to get credits. Its like if you get credits; something good happens. That is not true. Again, this is messed up.
Q: What? Why would Sulake do that? Habbo is a really fun place for teenagers!
A: Habbo is a company. Companys want money. Money leads to greedyness. Greedyness leads to lack of Habbo Hotel updates. Habbo don't care about all the members. Habbo just care about profits.
Q: You hate habbo. Why are you here?
A: You guys run a damn good radio.
This is my lame Q&A on why habbo is the worst.. Please feel free to argue with me.
Note to admins: Please remove ****s (Rhymes with ruts) from the banned words list. Its not bad.

First off, Habbo never says "something good will happen" when you buy credit's. Beside's that, Habbo IS a company after all, and it does make sense they would want to make money.
It really is your own fault for spending 200 on a game, even if it is addicting.. I love Habbo, but I know when enough is enough. I can agree with one thing though, it is addicting!

:eusa_eh: Well why did you spend money. I can keep control over the things I like, why can't you? Not all people are spending their money on Habbo. Just be thankful that you can join Habbo for free, play games like Fallin' Furni for free, and even create your own room for free. They aren't really forcing you to buy furni. They are telling you exactly what'll you'll get if you pay money - credits. There aren't really any suprises like "something good will happen". And then again - all companies are trying to make money. So don't blame Sulake and Habbo for that. :eusa_eh:

I totally disagree with you, for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it's perfectly possible to enjoy Habbo without buying credits, and if you decide to buy credits then that is your choice. Habbo's FAQ states:
Why can't Habbo Credits be free?
Habbo Hotel is available to anyone over the Internet. Visiting the hotel is free - unlike other services that provide the kind of experience we do, you don't have to buy a CDROM or pay a monthly subscription fee. We only charge for 'extras', such as furniture and games, and we have priced these at an affordable level for everyone - anyone can have a digital TV in the Habbo Hotel! You are welcome in the hotel, whether you buy Credits or not.
How exactly is this "constantly telling people to get credits"?
Also, yes Habbo Hotel are a company and as such want to make money. However, the hotel has been absolutely great, especially lately, for fun competitions with great prizes. If they were attempting to make profits by sacrificing what they offer to the user, they would find that less people used the hotel, and thus less people gave them money.

I have easily spent 300 on habbo at one point it was 100 creds a week "/ But i have stopped now. And i have learnt how to make rooms with simple furni like brown plasto, instead of a T sofa filled room. can i hear a 'YAY'?

Azele: Yay.
Others: Okay.. Habbo don't tell you to buy. They say good things will happen though.
Of course habbo just want to make money, they're a company...thats what they do! But they do care about their members or they wouldnt hire hobbas to help you, would they?
Azele: Yay.
Others: Okay.. Habbo don't tell you to buy. They say good things will happen though.

I can see what you're driving at. But you spent £200 on them. You gotta resist!
Habbo Staff do use every technique possible to make you buy credits, but, what can I say?! They're a business and they need to advertise their products. Oh well...

Sure. They want you to buy credits. Sure, they can eat up your life. But you can win furni and creds with a little bit of effort. I mean, every single day there is at least one competion going on. They want you to buy credits but they constantly update, they care.

I haven't read any of the replies to this thread, but my one answer for this is:
Habbo isn't a game, and in no way does Habbo Ltd. imply it's a game. Wahey, the thread starter got owned.

Hmmm... I kind of agree. If this hotel is for teens, why do they spend nonstop on advertising to get you to buy creds.
However, trying to get credits by getting a job or winning competitions is one of the things that keeps me coming back. They make you put in effort (or money) to get credits, and I like that.

Computers aren't everything you know. There is this thing called the real world out there *points to window*
By the way your ranting, it sounds like you need to get out more.
Apologies if it sounds very offensive, I couldn't think of another way to put it!
I agree..they dont give a bobba about there members, they ban everyone, i got an unfair ban but still im banned and they wont listen to me, i can never use the furni again that i have bought.
I bought it, they stole it by banning me so i couldnt use it
...

Yep, its just a company, they are not doing this for the kids, they use the kids, we are the customers. they make it safe for the customers so we can use there products. its not because they wanted to make a great place for kids. then it would be free.
I mean do shops have rules and stuff because they care about the customers? no, they want them to stay and buy there products
Its so simple...

Well yea they are using kids but its our own fault for buying credits.
Lets say I give 50pound to a child of 10-13 that plays habbo.
What are they going to do?
Go to the bank and put it in there bank acount? No.
Obviously there going to spend it and in there eyes habbo is the best thing.
Habbo is just exploiting the fact that most kids cant save money.

In the end, habbo is just like every other company, they need to make there money, but sometimes they do make you buy credits unfairly, read my thread (http://www.habboxforum.com/showthread.php?t=11482)
It tells you what i think about habbo...
Thing is, you need to kind of limit yourself, habbo is boring to me now, i used to go on loads, then i realised that i could do alot more with my life, its only once you quit habbo, that you realise how much time you lost playing it!

Hey, hes just making his point, if he dosent like habbo he dosent, and all yo ppl who keep saying, Dont blame habbo for it, its your fault you spent money on it, if you read his post, you would see that he is saying that it was his fault for spending money on habbo!
And Habbo Does tell us to buy credits, not directley, but subliminally (spelling?) and if you see what the images are called in the catalouge, you wll see that there file name is: mode_furni_teaser.jpg and candy_furni_teaser.jpg
they are teasing you to buy furni basically.
I dont have a problem with that though, if we didnt buy furni from habbo, it wouldnt exist, the people who work at Habbo have famialies to feed, so of course they are going to get you to spend money on Habbo, its natural.
I agree it is your own fault for spending so much money, as you were not physically forced to get them, although I also agree that habbo does infact persuade you to buy credits. For example, HC. The extra features you get ( clothes, hair, furni , badge, chooser, different room layouts ) make you want to buy the credits, and since they introduced the 13+ badge and :furni it makes you want to buy it every month, therefore you end up spending £3:00 at least each month

I have read all the posts, and the author of this post has already explained that he has been crazy over it, and he does blame himself for going over the top.
At first, Habbo is an addicting game.
What he says about Habbo literaly making us buy credits may be this:
The rares. The rares are a one off oppertunity. If it's pretty, you're priveledged to have bought it! Go brag!
Funky Friday. At 25p a call, it dosn't seem like alot, but it can add up if you enter every competition there is. It's a chance to get noticed. To be popular, if you have won something. But you pay for Funky Friday.
Habbo says that buying credits 'dosn't break the bank' - But at 10p a credit, it costs 30p for an item. Plus, you can only get them in batches of 5, 10s, 200s and ect.
For instance - A rare collecter might have paied over £50 buying petals just to sell them off for rare pixels.
Neopets has also gone the same way as Habbo. Callie must be rich. I'd like to see Dionysus' wages in that case!!
I think Habbo should do something to the homepage. It's outdated - Has the shark tale thingie ended yet?
What about pet week? Where did that go?
And didn't Funky Friday end and begin on Friday, not Monday?
But as you say, it was your own fault.
But I myself have been drawn into greed by Habbo.
:)
