Its almost the half way point of the year, what do you think is the best album so far? Song? New artist?

Personally, I havent liked this year as much as last year. But no suprise, my favorite album so far this year is Stadium Arcadium by Red Hot Chili Peppers. My favorite song would probably be Snow ((Hey Yo)). But an honorable mention would be Fake Tales Of San Francisco by Arctic Monkeys. As for new artists, I havent heard many new artists this year. Which I find dissappointing.

Album - Taking Back Sunday - Louder Now
Artist - They're not new, but the main artist I've gotten into this year is underOATH.
Song - "Gnarls Barkley - Crazy" has to be up there, even though I know it's so popular, along with "RHCP - Warlocks" and "Taking Back Sunday - What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost"

damn STRAIGHT.

Album: Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins;; Rabbit Fur Coat.
Artist: Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins.
Song: Single: Nelly Furtado;; Maneater, although this year has been just as fab as 2005 and it looks to be even better with Sugarcult releasing a new album this September and Gwen's new album... I think.. Album track: Hmm... Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins;; Melt Your Heart or Placebo;; Meds.

credit to Placebo and Taking Back Sunday who have produced two fine albums this year too.

Album: We don't need to whisper by Angels and Airwaves. Yeah your probably thinking 'oh that overated beep' well yeah I admit they're too well liked because they're 'in' but they're also not 'in' at the same time if you get me. 11 tracks of pure brilliance and 2 videos which were pretty good have been aired already, lets just hope they release no more than 2 more videos before it comes really over-liked.
Song: Hmmm this is a toughie. At first I'd probably say Lostprophets - Rooftops or TBS - Make Damn Sure. I got Make Damn sure about 7 weeks ago after seeing the video on Kerrang. The video for it was pretty darn good and the same goes for Rooftops. But being the Blink fan I've always been I'd have to say Plus 44 - No it isnt. After Blink split I did alot of research into bands they were going to be forming and my favourite; Travis Barker was going into Plus 44 and so was Mark Hoppus. I decided to keep up with all the news and all the songs for these although no album yet, I can only but hope it'll be sometime soon. This song's lyrics are amazing and are pretty much aimed at Tom, I mean Mark/Travis hasn't spoke to Tom properly in like a year!
Band: Again being the Blink fan I am I'd say Angels and Airwaves. Despite how egotistical Tom Delonge is he can sing for sure and his band can play well, not the standards of Blink but still damn good. I reckon we're going to be seeing alot more from AVA;) Lets just hope they don't get into the mainstream!

The reason Mark and Travis don't speak to Tom, is it because Travis chose Mark as the best man at his wedding over Tom? Because that's what I heard from people.
