Hello...

I downloaded CounterStrike Source through Steam, I was just wondering if it's only a demo version because I downloaded it through steam, because when I log on I get to choose my name, I don't have to put a password in so it's a waste of time because someone can choose your name and if you format your computer it's a waste of time. So I was just wondering if you buy the game do you have to create a username and password and not waste your time if you format your computer and your ranks go away. So is there anyway to save your score on the buy version?

Also, what's the difference between the downloaded and the buy version?

well if you payed for it its real
if you didnt its a demo (even though i've never heard of a CS:S demo =S
also steam usually automatically logs you in ;]
and if you reformat your computer you just re-log into steam and download it again =P
and if you payed for the downloaded version its exactly the same...but with the bought version you get HL2:deathmatch and Day of defeat source ^^
i dnt like HL2 but dod source is a gd game ^^

I bought HL2 Special Edition which came with CS Source so that's how I got mine.
