I have the nickelback guitar chord books and they use COMPLETLY different chords/tabs.. And I get how you think they sound the same... THE CHORUS COMES IN AROUND THE SAME TIME:O

Eh, it was pretty dang similar. They did the loud to quiet riffs at the same time, and the choruses were very similar.

Everyone things Hero is a nickelback song but its not. It was Chad Kroger along with Mike Kroger and Joey Scott ( matellica ) and some other guy.

Just saying, the songs were very similar. Not even just the structure of the song, but some of the pitches, lengths and they way things are brought in.

But it isnt as bad as Linkin Park using the same song with different lyrics (Yes, theyve done it a few times before.)

I HATE that guy. I saw an interview with him, and he said 'I didn't want to make a record everyone else was making. I wanted to be original'. I wanted to slap him and say "CONGRADULATIONS! YOU FAILED!"

Red's right, the two songs do sound the same, but strangely I liked that mix. Not a reason to dislike a band I wouldn't say, it still sounds good. The reason Daniel Powter doesn't get away with it is because none of his songs sounded good in the first place.
