Recently i've been feeling a bit overweight and i want to shed some pounds but i hate those faddy diets so i'm kind of "detox-ing". i eat quite healthily anyway but this is to help me really get into shape for the summer and next school term when i will start my GCSE PE.
So far i've got:
No crisps, cake, chocolate, fizzy drinks, hot chocolate, butter or other kind of spreads eg jam.
Two slices of bread a day [because i eat a lot of bread]
One mug of milk & milk with cereal [i have enough calcium to last me a year lol]
An hours exercise + 30 sit ups
&
drink plenty of water and a salad for lunch
okay maybe that is more of a diet than a detox but w/e lol. any suggestions for ways to get healthier?

Don't starve yourself.
Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables and cut the junk, that way you'll still be full and your getting all the required vitamins and minerals your body needs. If you also do excercise as you, and gradually build it up doing more each week etc. it'll help. :]
It'll be hard work, but good luck! :]

Listen to Ostin, hes smart. =] But yeah, dont starve yourself, you can gain weight sometimes if you dont eat enough in the day, just have 3 healthy meals aday, and a little snack since your body needs a bit of sugar. Im not exactly perfectly skinny, actually im overweight, but still, i eat 3 meals a day, and i havent gained anything in a week, im actually loosing weight tbh :S weird world. But yeah, eat 3 meals a day, drink alot of water, and exercise alot like your already doing. It takes time too loose weight, so dont expect a change in like.. 5 days lol. :)

Good, Some more protien is needed in the for of lean red meat, chicken or fish. And maybe some circut training.
Ie. 15 sit ups, 10 push ups, 15 squats, weights: 2 cans of food lifted 20 times .
Rest and repeat twice. If that helps
Good luck!

if you starve yourself.. your body clings onto the fat as much as possible.. not get rid of it. O.o
