Low detail and high detail

I normally use high detail, but I accidently pressed low and logged in...

Does low detail have sound effects but no music?

Cause I remember but ages ago, low detail had no sounds at all, and when you press the music option, it would state that your using low detail... thanks

Yeah, im pretty sure low detail has no sound whatsoever, but it might have sound effects, not sure, I always use high detail so meh.

a while back it didnt have sounds :) but now it does - i still dont use them because i have music playing

Wouldnt ppl with rundown computers lol, be angry that jagex did this, as it may lag? or people with no speakers, so they dont need sound.

They coded the sounding format into the low detail without increasing the upload through comps so it can support it.

I still can't get music on Low Detail. I find the sounds useful on my pker, because when a mage attacks me, you can here the spell before it hits you, it's like a warning.
